Aunt Kate's Chocolates — Local services in Tenino

The owner is very rude! My wife and I stopped in to get some chocolates, we had never been there before and was curious what they tasted like! After a little while shopping for a few different chocolates I politely ask the owner if there was any samples available! The lady throws up her arms, and saying at the top of her lungs rudely,, everybody wants something for nothing, no we don't have any samples! We are paying customers and have plenty of money, we don't want anything for free! But we did want to sample what we were buying, a simple request anybody would ask and not out of the ordinary! Since she was so rude and we told her so right at that moment, so we told her to keep our order and we left immediately,, and will never return! We told our family and Friends how we were treated there, so they don't make the same mistake!!...

Entered and noticed the mask free zone sign and I was trying to figure out what that even meant. I was with my elderly parents and was wearing a mask for their protection but this crone would not only not take our order but lied to us. She asked what we ordered and I told her we were there to buy some fudge, as it clearly states that is what they sell on the large sign out front of the business. She then lied to my face and said she doesn’t have any fudge, as I looked to the large glass display case right behind her that was full of fudge and a bunch of other chocolate items. She is lucky I was there with my mother when she lied to me and dishonored her. Who wants fudge filled with hate and judgement? This establishment should be called Aunt...

Aunt Kate's Chocolate Shop is by far one of the best I have ever been to, She makes all of her chocolates by hand in small batching with lots of love not to mention amazing skill. She supports many local artisans and proudly displays their wares. Also the selection of antiques is exquisite. So many beautiful items to choose from. I also adore her tea shop. She is highly knowledgeable and can guide the customer to exactly the hear or tea they need. Kate always has a smile on her face and a cheerful disposition. Kate is a single mom who works long hours to provide for her family. She IS the American Dream in action. Small Business Owner, Community Leader, Mother, and Friend. Tenino is a much better place with her...
