Dollar General — Local services in Texarkana

This store has a few employees that are about as friendly as rocks. The red-headed guy that works here has zero personality and speaks as if he's a robot. Doesn't move as quickly as a robot might, though.

Store shelves are often in disarray, and many items will not have visible price stickers on the shelves where they sit. The clearance aisle is a complete wreck, and you have to laugh at what are supposed to be clearance prices on items you can dig through here. Many of the so-called clearance items are priced just shy of their original prices.

Hey, Dollar General, get real! It's not clearance if you price it 50 cents off of its original price. And, if you're too tired of reorganizing the mess back there, do yourself a favor, and price the clearance items to move.

Shoppers here should watch prices at the register closely. Many items in this store may be labeled wrong on the shelves--if you can find a label there at all. Don't be surprised to find prices at the cash register do not match what you saw on the shelves where the items came from. This is becoming a rampant problem in these stores and too many others. I think I will just stand here until you give in. I say stand there and demand that the clerk matches what the shelf sticker says. And, don't pull that "fine print" crap...

I do LOVE the convenience of this store's location. It is barely over a mile from my house, AND they serve very cold, Mexican Cokes. However, the said price of the Mexican Cokes in this store does not always match the price at the other stores OR the price that Coca-Cola has listed around the refrigerator. Not that big of a deal, especially since they have built a new DG on Pleasant Grove Rd. This new store is beautiful. The DG that closest to my house seems to have obvious issues with employment. Every employee has been well mannered, but the cashier's SEEM to change every week or two. Some of the young employees will simply not show up for work, leaving the others to work longer hours. Worst customer service ever!! Had my elderly mom in car and just picking up a few waters for her. Self check out was out of paper, so I asked if someone could check me out. The clerk sent me to the check out register but then started replacing receipt paper in the self check our. I ask her to check me out and then replace paper at other register- she refused, so I told her she was rude and it was about customer service. She then refused to check me out at...
