Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Texarkana

I placed an order on Saturday & wanted to substitute the tots for fries with the meal I ordered. But instead was billed for an extra fry with the meal. The amount was $9.94. I instantly had the carhop to correct it before the food was brought out. The total was then $7.46. When the carhop brought my food the receipt on the bag stated $7.46. I then handed her my debit card to pay. When she came back out with the receipt they had still charged me the $9.94. I let her know they had still charged me the wrong amount. She then went back inside to get the manager on duty. I explained everything to her and she stated she would have to go back in and refund the charge and then charge me the correct amount. She went in for a few seconds and came back and said never mind ma'am we'll take care of it. I said are you sure and she said yes. Well on Monday when I checked my checking account I was still charged the $9.94. I waited until today just to see if anything would be corrected in my account but it wasn't. I then called and was told I would need to come back there & speak to the manager Jason. I explained the story and he refunded me the difference. If the other manager had done what she was supposed to do in the first place and wasting my time to come back there all this could have been avoided. It wasn't the money it was the...

Friendly faces, AWESOME food, a plethora of WONDERFUL shakes & malts...& they're tater tots are signature! I've tried all of their hot dog variations, my current favorite is the Chicago dog. Their sundaes are a favorite from my childhood, & their food is fresh, hot, & fast. The only thing I guess I could "complain" about, is that they need an option for you to enter a tip amount when paying by card. If you have no cash on you, then there's no way to tip your friendly server. I've worked for Sonic (not this one) before, & you start your shift with a $75 "bank loan". At the end of your shift, you're responsible for paying back the original $75, plus the total owed for your sales that the computer shows. Many times, according to that computer, I had to dip into the money I'd made as tips. I kept my receipts, money given as tips, & sales money in different pockets in my apron. But every time, ended up owing money according to what was entered into the computer. Had to quit when I broke my collarbone, but probably just...

The Sonic in Richmond Road is one of the better Sonics in the Texarkana area. The food has always been fresh and accurate for me. The only two issues I've had at this location are as follows. First the location of this Sonic is unfortunately on a busier area of Richmond Road. As such it can difficult to get in from the opposite side of the road due to oncoming traffic coming off a red light. Secondly the area is frequented often and is usually full a lot of the time. Therefore you may have to wait for a spot and orders can be a little delayed for this reason. But as this is not due to the establishment I do not hold that against them.
