This rating is based on selling to the store. And also based on prices set by the store. I went in today to sell a few things. The man offered me $3. And change for my entire box of games. He wanted to open the brand new sealed games I havenāt played. Of course I said no to that. And The prices he did offer on my other games were from eBay. And not from the store itself. Cause the lady said just look them up on eBay. It didnāt seem really fair to give me eBay (other seller) prices. Whatās up with that ? Did you look at the lowest price list ? Or did you look at the sold list ? Cause thereās a difference. I could have looked on eBay. So if this store is going by eBay prices thatās where Iāll go next time to sell. Instead of trying to support my local game store. I canāt say anymore about it other than I tried. - Ok so next in the list is the prices the store wants to sell there games at. So I looked around for games and I see two I really want to play. One is marked at $189.95 or something like that. And the other was $15.00 Both of these games are not worth that amount. The first one was $180 over fair price value. And the second one was $10. Over fair price value. I donāt know whatās going on here but the first game when it was new. Fresh off the market it was never over $59.99. How is it that they want $189.95 for a used copy of the game ? Itās not sealed. Itās not new. And itās not graded. Itās in a used case. A little worn on the edges. And the game can not be 100% certain that itās the correct disc that came with that case. Cause they have them randomly in a drawer. I just really had a bad time this trip. I think they could of been a little more fair. Truthfully I dont think the guy wanted my business. I think the guy was sick of working. I think someone should look into that. Itās bad for biz. The last guy said he wanted to kill himself. So itās always a different experience every time I open that store door. Will the person be nice to me ? Or will it be awkward and weird like this time ? I get it. A job is a job. The person is supposed to make the store look good and inviting and after a while of having the public in your face can get nerve wrecking. but this was a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can't speak for every game exchange, because I've been to some game exchanges they were pretty great. However this one in (TEXARKANA TEXAS) is not one of them. And I do not recommend this store. One-hundred-percent positively do not go here. I bought a $20 plus game for a PSP I ordered offline. Of course it was a pre-owned game, But it wasn't a cheap $5 game. It was a 20-plus Supposedly it was one of their better PSP games they have in the store. Which I may add is still a very slim selection. But none the less supposed to be a good game. I get the game I bring it home it does not work it does not function doesn't even spin. I try to bring it back I bring the debit card that I used to purchase the game. ask for a refund for the game. Then it went from oh we can give you a refund. too oh we can give you a store credit 3 days after I buy the game. and may add they're supposed to refund your purchase fully, (if the game does not work.) Not only did they not refund me for the game. they wouldn't even give me a store credit because I didn't have my ID ? What kind of b* is that. When I bought the game. I didn't need to show ID. So why do I have to show ID for the credit, which didn't make sense ( that was literally what she said) (you need ID for the credit ) I paid with my debit card it made no sense and she was rude and disrespectful and did not help at all. Not to mention I literally walked in with a less than three day old receipt and the debit card I use for the the purchase . But because I didn't have an ID I didn't get the refund or the credit. Last time I checked you don't need an ID for retail purchases. Especially when you have the receipt and debit card for said purchase. The only reason you don't help someone in that situation is because you don't want to if you ask me that's not how you run a business. All-in-all give this Game exchange a...
Ā Ā Ā Read morenothing bad to say about the staff. theyāre friendly, helpful and outgoing. iām rating one stars for a specific reason. i had gone there to sell multiple cards, they offered me store credit or cash. i decided to take the store credit since it was slightly higher than the cash and was looking to use it to buy a gift or invest into more cards. i come back and buy some packs and use roughly about 70% of the store credit from whenever i sold the cards. they gave me another receipt showing the remaining balance of store credit i had. i come back a few weeks later deciding to buy something with the remainder of my store credit. I then handed them my receipt (the receipt showing my remaining balance of store credit) and was then told that the balance on it was zero. I was a confused and asked for another person to check to make sure nothing was wrong. The manager then told me that the balance was zero, even though it was her who had given me that store credit receipt a few weeks prior. I decided I didnāt want to buy anything anymore and walked out since there isnāt much you can do when they just tell you that. It left me upset and confused, I was genuinely just excited to buy something I wanted with the remainder of my store credit. Iām not sure what happened on their end but I canāt help but assume that they stole my store credit thinking I wouldnāt notice or if someone who wasnāt me somehow used it. Iām pretty upset they didnāt investigate the issue any further, but you canāt really blame the staff since they arenāt the ones at fault. I think the manager shouldāve investigated the issue. If you want to sell your stuff here just take the cash offer they give you, donāt risk losing YOUR store credit. Be careful when coming here and accepting the credit offer, I donāt know what happened but I hope they genuinely donāt do this to...
