Joe’s Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Texarkana

So, I've ordered from this place many times in the past, and tonight I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. I got home with my small child just to find out that there was hardly even any sauce on the pizza. Basically just pepperoni, cheese, and bread. I've never had this happen ordering from them. I called and I told the woman who answered that I've ordered from them before, but tonight the pizza is not up to par. I told her that basically there was just cheese, bread, and pepperoni, and hardly any sauce. She told me I would have to buy another pizza. Mind you, the one I ordered has barely even been touched because I don't want it. she put me on hold to ask the owner, and then came back and told me that the owner said "that's just how we make our pizzas",(NO it's not!!) and that I'd have to just spend another almost $16 for another pizza. This owner also said that I need to ask for more sauce next time. I explained to this lady on the phone that I always just order a medium pepperoni pizza and it's always perfectly fine with enough sauce. Needless to say, I will NEVER spend my hard earned money on this place again. Any business who handles a customer's issues in this manner is showing a whole lot about how they operate. Well this is just sad, if you know me you know I'm Fair. Having said that we had calamari appetizer fresh out of the box, we had a roll calzone which was subpar at best, I had the chicken parmesan which was again fresh out of the box, spaghetti and marinara and again not fresh out of the box, and the dinner rolls were I'm guessing Frozen fresh out of the box. I really hate giving this review but when you can taste the freezer burnt you know it's not any good. I couldn't tell if the marinara was out of a jar or can. When you think it can't get worse we were served tap water,you guessed it straight out of the tap. Service was okay until we asked for a box to go to let someone else try it to get a second opinion but after 10 minutes we didn't get our boxes so we just left. Once again I hate leaving bad reviews cuz everybody has a bad day but when everything is bad...

Honestly, I was disappointed. The bread looks great, but was cold. Then the kids menu is strange and for $6 you only get the entree. That's fine, but the entree choices are strange. I could look past that, until they brought out two dishes straight from the oven of baked manicotti and put them directly in front of my children ages 5 and TWO. Even the adults ended up accidentally burning themselves and the food was so hot we needed to get it out into another plate to cool down for two very hungry kids who didn't understand why they couldn't eat. The waitress had to come with pot holders to hold the dish while one of us scraped it out. After waiting over 10 mins for it to cool the kids did like their food, but it wasn't worth it.
