Dirty rooms. Banged up furniture. This place is showing its age.||Luggage carts are unstable and barely usable. ||Room A/C is LOUD and sounds like Jake breaks on a truck. Queen bed is so close to air conditioner I couldn’t get out of bed on that side. Also these are the tallest beds off the floor I’ve ever seen! If you have mobility needs might bring a stool to reach the mattress. I’m 5’4 and struggled. ||There is no ice, snacks, vending or stock in the market. No signs indicate lack of ice or vending until you walk down the hall and see empty space.||The bathroom sink didn’t drain due to broken stopper. I tried to fix but couldn’t lift it up. ||TP holder full of rust on both sides. Extra roll was crammed on and installed still wrapped. ||Bathroom towel rod was rusted and bent.||On a hot day in Texas there was no A/C in the hallways but some sort of machine was set on a lobby table. Possibly an air purifier? Didn’t appear to be working.||We found white powder on the baseboards & crumbs under sofa bed. In the living area. The next morning when we had daylight, we discovered a dried blob of an unknown gross substance on the shelf behind the sofa. There are missing lightbulbs in the main part of the room. We didn’t see some of this until we already had a sleeping baby or I would have demanded another room. However, with the condition of the property I doubt it would have mattered.||Pool is TINY and dirty on bottom, loud box fan in the workout area - no A/C. Infant pack and play was folded up with the carrying case INSIDE under the mattress. ||The final straw was the OPENED condiments in the coffee valet. ||I saw only two employees the four times I walked through lobby. No one greeted us or seemed to have any kind of appreciation for their job. ||Called front desk the afternoon of our check out and asked to speak to manager. I was told she was in a regional meeting. Told gentlemen I had already called corporate and I was sure they would get hold of them - he simply hung up without offering to take my name or info. ||Place is in need of repairs. Staff is apathetic. It is obvious no one in management cares about this place. Definitely not up to...
Read moreAlthough the hotel property was very nice, clean and well equipped. The front desk worker was not very helpful during my stay on 12.29-12.30.
I had a room reserved using points (Platinum member) and arrived at the property ready to check in. There was a nice crowd in the lobby so once it was my turn at the front desk I told the young man working I was there to check in and had a reservation under points. He asked my name and the name of the reservation. I gave him the info, he looked confused for a moment and then asked for my ID and credit card/debit card. I supplied both. He did some things on his computer and handed me my ID, credit card/debit card and room key.
Once I got in my room and settled, I checked my account (as I was traveling and bought gas and a few other items) and noticed a charge for $110 from the hotel. I thought maybe it was just a hold to make sure the room was left in good order. I decided to call the front desk and inquire about charge. The young man proceeded to tell me he did not see a reservation under my name so he just charged me for a room. He also said he would not be able to fix the situation and convert to points and refund the room because he did not have access to fix it and the manager would be in at 9am the next morning (Sunday). Irritated because now my plan of leaving before 9 was now not possible.
So, Sunday morning sharply at 9am I leave my room to check out and speak with the cmanager to correct issue. However I was then told by another gentleman now on duty that the managers do not work weekends and I would have to wait until Monday. Well I left my info for someone to contact me Monday and I have yet to hear from anyone from the property.
Paying for the room is not so much of a huge issue, however the way it was handled and the worker not even letting me know he was charging me for a room is an issue. When he noticed he saw no reservation under points, I would think it’s professional courtesy to notify me of this. Allow me to correct the issue and pay with points. To just charge me without letting me know is very disappointing, to not even hear from the property after being blown off is...
Read moreWe checked in overnight on March 11th after 10 pm and was given a room that was not at the cleanliness level as other Marriott hotels. The bathroom was not 100% clean and was not restocked with towels and toiletries. In addition, the water pressure in the bathroom was almost nonexistent. This was brought to the hotels attention early the next morning, due to being too tired from traveling. Even after advising the overnight front desk person of the missing towels, unclean bathroom, and the lack of water pressure, he did nothing to make immediate corrections. Towels were not offered nor delivered to the room. I left to get gas and upon returning the shift had changed and I asked the young lady now working the front desk if the young man before her advised if the issues? He had not given her all the information. I requested to be refunded for the 120.91 that I was charged for the stay. She said that she didn’t have the authority to do so but would advise the manager. Upon arriving back home, a few days later, I called back due to an email received from a man anger named Troy. Troy advised that he was given a partial refund and adding points to my account. This was not what I requested but was ok with the resolution because I was not ever planning to stay at that location again. A few days later, the 24.xx credit was applied, and the points, but he also charged my card a second time for the 120.19. I called the hotel on March 16th and advised of the charge and they saw the error and promised that it would be reversed immediately. I asked to have Troy return my call to confirm the charge was reversed. To date, despite several emails and calls, I have yet to receive any resolution, phone call, or any other type of follow up from Troy, The Manager. I sent a message even via FB messenger to the hotel in hopes of getting in contact with Ravi Patel General Manager. At this point, this has been by far the worse Marriott experience we have ever had, and just want my money back ASAP. We passed up many hotels on IH30 to stay at this property and it was a big mistake and will NEVER happen again. Folio...
