I came across Dr. Kim in 2009 when I had severe back pain. I was only 19 years old, uninsured, and had just started working a full time job. I injured my back at work & the doctor I went to said I would most likely need surgery. I quickly walked away, I didn’t have money to pay for surgery and was scared so I decided to get a second opinion. The second doctor sent me to a chiropractor. They wanted me to sign a contract to pay over $4,000 for treatment which would last about 3 months. I again refused; I wasn’t working due to my hurt back. I was in so much pain and could barely walk. I decided to pay as I went for treatment. After about 3 treatments I realized the pain was getting worse. The treatments were extremely painful and I would always walk out with more pain than when I went in. When I complained to the chiropractor that I felt the treatment was making it worse he said it will be worse before it gets better. This made no sense to me. I finally had enough one night when I couldn't sleep, I was constantly crying, nothing made the pain better. I decided to try a natural approach, I was desperate. I googled acupuncture in the woodlands and Dr. Kim popped up. He has been a miracle worker. I called him crying explaining how much pain I was in and he told me to come in immediately. Dr Kim is amazing! I started coming to him because I felt like I was not getting any help from traditional medicine and I know friends who’ve come to him for Bell’s palsy and other health issues and they were healed after a few sessions. With his thermal imaging he immediately could tell I have inflammation issues. I look healthy from the outside, but feel miserable on the inside with zero energy most of the time and mentally foggy. I’ve had various health issues such as IBS, hiatal hernia, unexplained rashes and loss of feeling and strength in my arms, hands & fingers. When I could feel my hands, I just felt numb and radiating shooting into my fingertips. I also was told I had COVID POTS and autonomic dysfunction. I have always had issues (all women in my family do) and my mom passed away from autoimmune issues, but everything became exponentially worse after having COVID a few times which makes sense because my cardiologist thinks my issues are viral related as well.
