From the moment we arrived to the time we departed this small town hospital, we were treated with the utmost respect and care. Our family member had some unusual symptoms and the Emergency Room staff Sandy, RN, and Gracie, health tech, welcomed us and settled our family member. They worked with Dr. Weyer to do the necessary tests and to relay the results in a timely manner. Our family member required overnight monitoring and was admitted to the MedSurg ward where Robin, RN skillfully cared for him overnight. Katie, RN assumed care for him for the day shift and informed us of our loved one’s improvements. Unfortunately our loved one suffered an unexpected health crisis. The whole hospital staff came together to try to save him. As a former ICU nurse, I was impressed by the level of knowledge and technological support that everyone put into our loved one’s care. I observed that staff that were either just starting or completing their shift stayed to help the team that was working on him. Drs. Gard and Mathey were in charge and kept us informed. The Nurse Practitioner and other nurses and staff were continually checking on us and offering to get us water or anything we needed. Despite the heroic efforts that everyone put forth, our family member did not survive. While we were devastated, we felt comfort that nothing was spared to help him. We were personally comforted by all of the staff involved in his care. The nursing staff allowed us the time we needed to say our final goodbye. Shannon, a nursing assistant and nursing student, helped to do the final cares for our beloved family member. The nursing staff helped us to find a funeral home to meet our needs. We couldn’t have asked for better care and this tragic experience for our family was made bearable because of the extraordinary staff and service that we received at Hot Springs Hospital in Thermopolis. We have extraordinary gratitude to everyone affiliated with this facility. You all made...
Read moreService I received was Ok, but the Billing Department is a nightmare to deal with. I had some bills that I had not paid because they had not submitted the charges to my secondary insurance. I called probably 10 times and got the run around and never was able to speak with anyone in charge. I kept getting told they would get the bills submitted. They never did and turned me over to collections. I have had a credit rating in the 800s for ages, and now have this Health Care Facility damaging it because they didn't do their job.
03/10/24 Well, I attempted to do what the Owner Response said to do, contact the Revenue Cycle Director only to get nothing but a busy signal after multiple calls. I then called the main hospital number and the person I spoke to had never heard of the Revenue Cycle Director and put me on hold for several minutes. When she came back on the line she said she learned that they did have someone in that position, but no longer did. I asked who would be the next person up the line to speak with and was told the CFO. I was transferred to him and the call went to voice mail. I left a message asking for a return call. I left four messages over a two week period and have never received a call back. So, now I am battling a lawsuit for attorney fees and court costs for a summons dated December 22, 2023 that was not served until February. I paid the Principal Balance due on January 3, 2024. And, of course the Hospital NEVER filed any of my the bills with my supplemental...
Read moreWe live about 4 blocks from the hospital in Worland, but chose to drive 30 miles to Thermopolis to deliver our first baby after a couple not so great experiences in Worland. We were able to have all prenatal appointments completed in Worland at the Red Rock clinic, and had the best experience with all the DR's and nurses. The medical staff genuinely care about their patients, and take the time to explain everything to you, and make sure you are treated appropriately. Have not had any issues with billing as others have mentioned. Everything was submitted through insurance and we are awaiting the final bill after those...
