Terrible Cashier reason everyone does SELF CHECK OUT! I shop here often and I was just treated very rudely by a cashier. I was on register 16 around 2:30 4/28/2024. It was very busy so they open up another lane. I was in lane 17 I moved over to 16 and I guess the people who “ just”walked up decided they didn’t like I was next because of their behavior. I always avoid the cashiers and do self check out because they always have attitudes and rude behavior. I go in here often enough to know that everyone that shops here will stand in self service to do self check out and avoid cashiers lanes on purpose. So today this older long black haired Mexican lady was so rude she was basically throwing my order. So I told her I have 2 orders I put the first one up as I was still loading the Chinese couple behind me started putting there groceries on the belt the same as time as me no waiting the people I mentioned earlier that didn’t like I was next. The cashier seen this happen and she kept the belt going so I had NO room to load a cart full of groceries. So I started loaded the stuff up as it toppled over onto the Chinese couple order and the Chinese lady started moving her stuff Back but I literally was left no room on the belt I had a cart full and the couple behind me groceries made it to front belt of the belt. As the couple proceeded to push back only because I let my order toppled over the cashier kept the belt running.I put my hands and said to the cashier I have (no room.) SHE just ignored me!!! Like I said nothing. She never spoke to me when I got in line just mean to me for no reason. I guess she doesn’t to work today. Sad so many Americans out of work here she is with a job and behavior bad smh! Then she was handing my groceries angered still silent it was crazy. I had to say thank you when I left in order to get her to speak!! I still was nice despite her bad treatment of me. I looked back at her she tried to make sure I was gone before she said it but I was already looking and hearing. When I was leaving I heard her telling them the Chinese couple who was rude and inappropriate she said she was so sorry! She said I’m sorry guys for that. I heard and seen HER! I should have gotten an apology. But she ignored me and cater to the Chinese couple very rude and prejudice. The managers can check the cameras and see this exact situation play out won’t find one single hole in my story. HOW she kept that belt going letting my groceries pile up!! Very rude nasty attitude. Very unhappy employees at this location. I know I spend thousands of dollars here at this store this will definitely be my last week bringing this...
Read moreOn 9/23/23 around 8 am I went to get one gallon milk. It took less than one minute to get milk but there were only few self checkout counters open, out of those only few were working. I asked Kroger employee why other lanes and counters are not open, reply: this is all we have.
Two counters were occupied by customer with large number of items Etc etc Bottom line: when I spoke to manager why only one employee is working Reply was/ Corporate decides how many ppl will work at what time. I wanted name, phone number of area manager to whom I can write and complain about this, he got my name and number and told me someone will get back no one ever got back.
My wife has gone there several times and continues to go on weekends and even during peak hours of Saturday around 11-2 pm they are not staffed properly
My appeal and request to Kroger management is:
Please wake up, don’t hold us hostage to your grocery store, HEB just few miles away have better customer service, lower prices and better products.
Your arrogance will bring down your store.
Your manager on duty was also rude, he should not be a manager.
Just because your company has dominant position in Sugar land area does not give you a right to mistreat customers. If you think customers are going to tolerate poor service forever think again.
I have not seen one response from kroger Management on so many bad reviews.
Your managers and employees need to be trained properly.
I wish I would have recorded my exchange with manager with a video to provide here as a proof.
It is a huge shame that no one wants to fix the problems including politicians because they get campaign contributions from major companies.
I also know KROGER WILL NOT FIX PROBLEMS BECAUSE THEY FEEL THEY DON’T HAVE TO, THEY HAVE MONOPLISTIC POSITION IN MAJOR SUBARBS OF HOUSTON.
Someone might wonder why I am writing this review today incidence happens almost a month ago.

Read moreI purchased some prepackaged food and when I went to eat it, saw it had expired 2 months ago. I brought it back with my receipt to prove I had only purchased it 3 days earlier. I spoke to Ethel at customer service who was entirely unhelpful and so I asked for the manager. When Teresa came over she yelled at Ethel before even addressing me, then slammed her hand on the counter in front of me and said "And what do YOU want?". I explained the situation and she berated me for not noticing the food was expired before I purchased it, as if anyone would expect to pull expired food from the shelf. She was beyond rude, nasty, and borderline violent as if expired food on the shelves isnt something that the store manager should be bothered with. I asked her what else on the shelves was expired and if I should check every item from now on, and she yelled at Ethel again to "Handle this person" and walked away. I have reported this store to the health department and to osha for selling expired food and unsafe and abusive working conditions. No one should shop here because anything you buy could be expired, rotten, or poison and the store manager will blame you as the customer for not doing her...
