Nobody “threw” any menu at the servers, please recheck your camera footage before you try to smear me. I put them back on the pile from which they came and left. Yes, you do not put your hours or seating information clearly on your website OR at the door (there were no times listed) and were very rude and smug about it. The servers also let two others into the restaurant even though they came in after me, so how’s that for “the rules apply to everyone?”

The fact that your automatic response to a negative review is to be incredibly defensive and misrepresent a customer as if I “threw” anything in order to make yourselves look better (I don’t know if your hostess told you that or what) shows me where your hostess and chefs learn their manners from. If you can’t be clear of your hours and rules about seating prior to a customer walking in the door and being disappointed, and then not holding other customers to the same standard, AND THEN trying to spin the narrative to make it seem like the customer was trying to literally assault your staff, do not be surprised if you receive a negative review.

For one, the hours listed on the door and online are “closes at 3” and if one follows that, which is what I did, nobody knows about a “last seating at 2:30” policy before showing up and walking through the door. Maybe you could list the closing time at 2:30 online and on the paper sign on the door, if that’s your policy.

Secondly… Your words were literally “to only have you throw our menus to our servers is we can recall-“ when I threw them at no one. The menus were originally from piles on the bar, I put them back in their proper pile. Didn’t throw anything. But I know you added that in to discredit a bad review and make me seem like a “Karen” so that you can save face, because it seems like you take negative reviews as a personal affront.

Thirdly, nobody asked you to apologize. In fact, you’re the one who demanded an explanation and then tried to malign me for a bad review, which is the only reason I responded. You act like you’re owed good reviews. It’s well within my right to leave a negative review, from my point of view two people were let in to be seated after I was denied, there were no clear written guidelines to confirm what the employees said about time of last seating, and the hostess had a poor attitude. You could just accept that people will leave bad reviews when they feel like they’ve been treated rudely, but no you have to pick fights with people. If it’s just a misunderstanding, you could explain that it was a misunderstanding in a mature way, and maybe I would have changed my opinion, but you decided to lie on my name instead. As a restaurant owner, what does that say about your overall attitude...

Like the comment below…If you like terrible service this is your spot. The customer service is terrible as soon as you walk in. The girl that works the floor, bar and cash register is awful with customers. She seems to not want to service people of color who walk in her establishment. I gave this place two tries and I definitely won’t be back. First attempt I wanted to order something to-go but she seemed bothered and took her time getting to me. Although the people who walk in behind me were serviced before me. Second attempt I wanted to dine in hoping to get a better experience. NOT AT ALL. She was the same. Didn’t go over menu/lunch specials, didn’t ask if I had any questions about the menu, didn’t ask if I wanted to start with any starters and the list goes on. She was rushing me to make an order so she didn’t have to deal with me. I ordered, food came and was decent although their soda was watery. She didn’t ask if everything was okay or tasted well. Shortly after I would say 15 minutes into it she comes with my check. I asked for a to-go box (picture below) and she brings out the smallest box she has. It’s unfortunate to have such a nasty attitude and give bad service to new customers who could be returning customers. I actually found this place from an influencer on social media because she highly recommended as one of her spots to order from and it looked really good. From my experience I wouldn’t recommend coming here or ordering to-go from here again.

(Replying to Owner) Like I said on my Yelp review …Yes, you’re initialed to your own opinion. But honestly as an African American and a hard working mother this was my experience how I was treated. Nobody is bashing or harassing on this platform. Honestly, you could’ve kept those words to yourself. Never did I once break down my experience based on minority percentages and who was or wasn’t a parent. This was my experience dining in at your establishment. Just make it right for others who would like to...

Had to check out the restaurant knowing it’s the closest option for sushi in the Riverstone area. The first impressions of the restaurant were positive, as the overall ambiance and decor were very nice. The service was also great and thankfully we didn’t wait long for anything throughout our dinner. The food, on the other hand, was positively just ok. The Robata offerings of Shrimp and Wagyu were pretty good, but were far too sweet and could’ve used more spice to balance out their flavor profiles. The Shishito Peppers appetizer was good, including a nice mix of textures with peanuts and a fairly tasty sauce. The selection of nigiri that we ordered varied too greatly, however, ranging from pretty bad to pretty great. As expected, the O-Toro was delicious and the highlight of the meal. The other good options were the Madai and King Salmon. Sadly, the rest definitely didn’t match up to similar offerings at other restaurants in town. The Saba was too fishy, the Bincho Maguro and Peppered Tuna lacked any actual flavor, and the Wagyu was slightly overcooked. Given it's location, I'd still be interested in trying it again, but only for their hand rolls. While having the ability to order nigiri/sashimi dishes with premium ingredients like Wagyu beef and Chutoro/O-Toro is appreciated, I think I see myself making a longer drive to find a more suitable option in...

The restaurant has nice decor and clean interior. Their happy hour is from lunch to 6pm, and has limited food items. But I appreciate that they offer half rolls and full rolls so that the customers could try more varieties. I had the Nabeyaki Udon, Sake Sashimi, Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Scallop Robata, Wagyu Filet Mignon Robata, Sake Nigiri, Spicy Salmon Roll, LJ Pkwy roll, and Love Affair roll. The udon was ok. It had small cubes of chicken which were tough. The broth was a little salty. The sake sashimi and sake nigiri were fresh. The spicy tuna crispy rice was a fresh idea, a good dish. The scallop robata had too much sauce. Most of the flavor came from the sauce, thus I couldn’t taste any sweetness which should come from the scallop. I am disappointed with the wagyu filet mignon robata. It was over cooked and tough. The rolls were good. Staff were polite and always checking in. Food was served pretty fast too. Overall, food was ok but could be better.
