Sharks Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Thornton Township

My husband purchased Carmel cakes today December 6, 2022. The date stamped on the cake was December 25, 2022. I had to spit that bite of cake out, it was absolutely awful. The cake was very dry, the carmel was turning into liquid. This is the first time in my life that ever spit out cake. Because this was the worst ever cake that I have ever eaten. I called to speak to the manager, he asked who was calling, and after letting him know that I was a customer, he said that he was busy. ALL THIS, I could hear in the background. Probably thought I wanted something for free. Hell No !! I was just letting him know about the inferior product that he was selling and that it should be removed from the shelf. As a result of poor customer relations, I will absolutely not do busy with any Shark's establishment ever again. They got enough of my money. I also called the company located in Palos Heights, IL that make the cakes, the guy that answered the phone sounded like he was the manager's brother. He said thank you for letting him know. I miss my great aunt, she could make a caramel cake that would melt in your mouth. Lesson learned. People...

Very much hit or miss. The service here is just plain awful, it's like this place has a job requirement that all cashiers be just plain rude and unfriendly. Like I get it, you hate your job, but as a PAYING customer that's not my fault nor my concern. I usually get the jumbo shrimp w/ extra lemon pepper, they're normally good, but the regular 1lb of shrimp is really hit or miss... This last batch of shrimp I had tasted like they had feathers??? Also, the chicken is just plain awful in all forms (wings, tenders,etc.) They're small and they always taste like they've been cooked and reheated... The good thing is that they have a mild sauce station in the corner, where you can get as much mild sauce as you can pump... The bad news is if you're going to have a station like this, then you must keep it clean! How the hell am I supposed to feel comfortable getting sauce from a station where mild sauce is everywhere? On the "clean" cups and tops that we're supposed to use to get the sauce, all over the wall and floor surrounding the station???? Just plain terrible,...

I stay in South Holland near this Sharks, and one weekend I decided to call in an order and when I called the young lady that answered the phone answered and told me that they weren't taking any call in order, and that I would have to come in to place an order. I have never heard of such a thing as not placing an order over the phone. I decided to go in to the store to place my order that way I could ask why I couldn't call it in. I placed my order and then asked the cashier why weren't they accepting call in orders and she said that it was because she was too busy, now I'm confused because I'm looking around the store and there are only two other customers.......REALLY. while I was sitting waiting on my order there were still people calling trying to place an order and they were told the same thing. The customer service sucks and the chicken was over cooked and I didn't get extra lemon pepper like I asked. I will not be returning to this location the customer service SUCKS! If you have a bad attitude the you definitely don't need to work a customer...
