Being a new business in Thornton, learning how to bounce back from the effects of COVID and other struggles associated with owning a business has been challenging. As a minority woman, business owner, and member of the community, I was happy to support the Alliance Business centers initiative.
I’ve attended several workshops, connected with professional consultants and the networking opportunities have been very helpful. In doing so, I’ve become very familiar with the Alliance Business Assistance Centers facility and its employees. The facility is beautiful, but if you walk in for assistance that requires the staff to assist you, assistance feels unwelcomed. Unfortunately, my experience working directly with the employees has not been great, and have been refused service. I have felt unheard by staff, experienced a lack of written/verbal communication from all employees, transparency lacking and when they are available to answer questions, they are very misleading.
