Hot Topic — Local services in Thousand Oaks

Do not waste your time standing in line for anything exclusive at this Hot Topic. Go to Canoga Park or any other one. This is the only store I have had a continued experience at. They only cater to the same people every time here in TO. "First come, first serve," means nothing here. "No holds" also means nothing here. "Stand in front of the store to line up" means nothing here. Second experience here, same result. Stood outside the mall since 6am trying to get a Funko for my boy, with 2 other random people doing the same. I understand going into it, there isn't a guarantee you are going to get one. It's a risk you take trying to get something many others are after. 3 hours later around 9:15am the security guard opened our entrance to the mall. We walked with him the whole way to Hot Topic where we stopped and stood in line. First come, first serve...line up in front of the store, doors open at 10 says the Instagram ad. We're the first 3 people there. Golden, so I text my son Dad's bringing it home. The security guard then proceeded to open the other entrance to the mall, where a mass of people were also waiting since 6am by the food courts. We were immediately met with aggression saying they were first and we weren't allowed to enter the side of the mall where the guard opened it for business. That was the "official" area to wait where they were waiting. Are you serious????? Security was called who verified that he allowed us to enter the mall 5 mins prior to them, as he opened the other side of the mall by us first. Not getting the answer they want, they then said they'll just talk to the girl, they are there every day and even called the day prior. Low and behold the door opens for business at 10, and the employee walks out. She immediately says she already know what happened, and said the same group of guys were first, and asked us to go to the back of the line of 36 people at that point. First time I thought this happened here I thought it was just a mistake. Second time, same result, same people given first access. DONT...

They have the best Funko Pop collection and I can't believe this but... They actually have really cool shipping shirts. If you ship Yuri on Ice, they have the shirts for it. It is amazing. They also have shirts for my hero Academia, featuring my favorite OTP, karashima and bakugo. They also have Todoroki and midoriya. I love this store. Also it's one of the few stores will you'll see Voltron items, too bad season 8 was so disappointing. However, if you want to collect the characters from Voltron, they have the Funko Pops there and the t-shirts. It is a total geek girls dream house. I'm waiting for the Spider-Man and Deadpool collection. I want to see those guys on a t-shirt. Still waiting for my spideypool t-shirt, hopefully it will be coming out soon. So...

I got my fiancée here Minnie Mouse backpack here that was a online exclusive order. This is a nice Hot Topic Store at the Oaks Mall, we stopped by here on Christmas Eve to pick it up. It's a medium size store so if they don't have the item you're looking for, just order online and do store pickup. When I went in, I walked straight to the cashier area to tell them I'm picking up my order. The girl helping me was very friendly and provided great customer service.
