Horrible experience dealing with Dane. He appears to be some form of management and is a bad look for the entire store. When I go in if I see him at the register I will just walk out of the store and drive the 10-15 minutes to a different store. I have seen him berate new employees for the simplest issues and rush elderly at the register. I was in just the other day and a gentlemen in front of me was looking to return a product and he says “wow sucks for you”. Then when I go up to the line to try and return a product I bought just a day prior completely unopened he denied my return saying that it’s not something they return despite the back of my receipt having the entire return policy written out. Nowhere did it exclude the product I was returning and on top of that the only possible exclusion that would apply to the item I was returning was that “the manager has the right to refuse returns of any item, at any time, for any reason, regardless of receipt” it was a $5 item and it seems like he denied my return just out of laziness. I drove to the next harbor freight in Beaverton and they returned my item with 0 questions. Dane should find a new place to work that doesn’t interact with customers since everyone shopping at the store appears to be such a burden to him and his...
Read moreNo, I think at this point, harbor freight is not a place for me. The last time I was there, it was all about the manager. I am the manager and my time is very valuable and I'm a very busy person. All I would of like to have done was to exchange a 4 pack of tie down belts for one's that were bigger and heavier duty. I did not want my money back. They were going to make more money on this transaction. In today's time and technology I really didn't see the problem with that exchange They have my e-mail, they have my only phone # that I have, they have my home address. But no. I didn't have my receipt. Yes indeed, where is the old fashion, customer service we all once knew. So, I was in Gresham, Oregon today helping a friend. We neede some tools, we went to Home Depot. This afternoon we went to Sherwood, Oregon to visit a friend. He was working on a project. Yeap, there is harbor freight there and again, we instead went to Home Depot. Their manager there was vey helpfull. Yeap, went back there twice. So no, I don't see harbor freight in my Cristal ball any...
Read moreI feel like HF has been steadily improving over the years in some areas... not all. But hey, their hand tools are guaranteed for life, and as far downhill as the Craftsman brand has gone, seem like Pittsburgh Professional is just as good. If you're a tool guy/hobbyist, you can usually tell if the tool you are about to buy is going to suit your needs in terms of quality. I'm in this store probably at least once a month on average, but there are things that just wont buy here. I recently needed a table saw for a particular project, not being a wood worker it was a major internal struggle to use the 20% coupon I had and buy a HF piece of junk for less than $100, or go spend many times more than that at either Orange or Blue. Even though I wont use it that often, I opted for a much higher quality one. Th as t said my metal cutting bandsaw and a number of other tools I've purchased here h as ve been running strong for many years in my garage with much higher than...
