The ladies at The Toccoa, GA location went above and beyond for me tonight. I'm in town for my mom's Memorial. I received info that was upsetting prior to going in the store for the first time. I needed a charging cord for my phone. I didnt have one in the truck. As if the news on the other end wasn't bad enough. My phone died. So I run in and found this amazing store. not being able to reach the fishing pole I saw for a cheap price the new lady sweeping the floor asked if she could help, she got it for me. Then upon check out I asked for a couple more items the young lady at check out pointed me in the right direction and followed asking A lady named Angel to assist me. I now have both those items too. Along with awesome deals on rain boots, tarp, straps, laundry detergent (c'mon A large jug of Tide Simply for 7.99) who can pass up those deals. So, she told me the total and my card didn't go through. The lady behind me also worked there her name was Ruby. She was gonna pay the balance for me bc the system wouldnt allow her to void an items after partial payment to close out sale. Then after looking at register only a small portion went through. Dang it! I didnt move my money from one account to another. So while kicking myself for not doing it prior to my phone dying, I asked if someone had a cord or charger I could borrow. Then Ruby went and found one in the office. I walk to the truck and get my phone. Swipe, tap and confirm, transferred funds. Bam! Slide amd 4 digits later $148.00 pd for. So, it was then as I unplugged my phone from their charger I realized I forgot to get a charging cord for myself. Being it was 9:10 and they were closing, I gathered my things and left. But looking at my phone and my niece calls to confirm arrangements. I could talk to her and made it back to the hotel safely. All bc the nice ladies at Ollie's made sure I could pay for my Manic shopping trip. Thank you Ollies for low prices an. Thank you to The sweetest and helpful Ladies that work for you . Ruby, Angel, New lady and Cashier. You all Rock! Why did I ever move to a City 3 hours...
Read moreWe always find some great deals at Ollie’s however we did have a laughable moment. Not certain who does their pricing, but some of their laundry detergent was more expensive than “non-bargain” stores. The reason for the lack of the 5th star is the wait to check out. I have never NOT have a several minute wait, and with four registers it doesn’t quite make sense. Also on our last visit there was a very nice young lady as our cashier, who was quite overwhelmed, as the line was long and the patients of other patrons was wearing thin, outwardly make the statement, “I am going as fast as I can but they only pay me 11 dollars an hour to deal with this”. I felt her pain. Had we had cash I would have tipped her. She was clearly new and alone in the front and doing her absolute best. She alone is the reason for...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place!! We need one in Rabun County, GA. Always clean and friendly. We always check things from any bargain place and they have never had an issue with us opening something because we always put it back like we found it or ask for help. We have accidentally purchased an out of date food product before. I should have checked. They have signs stating it isn't their intention to sell out of date products. They have free coffee! That is always a perk. Everything I've ever purchased here has been great. I purchased 3 rugs over a year ago. All of our curtains. Some of our towels. Which were top quality and I wish I had purchased more of. I also receive coupons in the mail. The only downside is it is 45 mins away. Great place with a...
