This has been going on for 2 weeks! ARP attacks, trace route attacks, on and on for 2 weeks. I changed ISP and it's quiet now...
Read moreI wish I could leave a -100 stars!! Did anyone know that Buckeye has its own ACP department? How are we supposed to know that since you talk to the Customer representative numerous times and give them the same information and they don't transfer you to that department or give their # so how was I supposed to know that I had to speak to that department?? Tell me please...Also when the customer representative says she will put in a ticket on 12/13/23 and they will contact you and then you get a call on 12/19 and you talk to them about this they still don't tell you that you need to call and talk to this other dept. And than you call again on 12/22 and oh we see your ticket is there and they are backed up. Then go on vacation for Christmas come back get a bill in the mail and wonder what's up with this than call them and spoke to a really nice guy named Alan on 1/10/24 and drum roll please.....I find out there's this magical department that they have and he gave me there # and told me to call them so I called as soon as I hung up and left vm and then get a call this morning 1/11/24 and she left vm and I call back less than an hour later and talked to (whom I shall not name because I really feel like she had no empathy). Especially since I have taken notes of dates and times and when phone calls were happening and what we talked about and all she kept repeating was they can't backdate it because they won't get paid back from the program and that they called me numerous amounts of time and I asked her ok so of those numerous times how many did I answer and then how many calls did you receive from me for this problem she says all I can say is we texted and emailed you numerous times I said nope just 1 text cuz I saved it and that's what got the ball rolling on my part and 1 email same day I got the ball rolling so where have I not done my part. I told her I'm willing to pay the lapse of 6 days cuz it got cutoff 12/13/23 -12/19/23 cuz that's when I got approved and called and gave them the info. So I'm wondering how in the world do you think people are supposed to know about this department if your customer service people aren't saying anything. I don't have time going into when I called them in October of 2023 and talked to them about this same thing because I was assured that everything was OK even though I was getting emails from the actual ACP gov't program saying I haven't picked a provider and I would call buckeye about that. Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would. I have experienced nothing but sheer grief during these past two weeks with this company. My internet is incredibly slow, so what should take minutes to get done can take an hour. They've replaced cables twice in the past two weeks and we purchased Eero (Smartnet) and the problems still remain. Prior to the series of outages that showed up two weeks ago, I had numerous problems, such as the internet frequently going down, but at least it was usuable. Now my entire street has been getting barely usable service and I am confident that there is a problem with their infrastructure, but they refuse to acknowledge it.
Oh, and if you use VPNs for work, good luck getting any work done at home. This goes especially for medical professionals. And of you're doing online courses at colleges, be careful, because when the internet went down two weeks ago, one of my family members had to use their hotspot to finish a quiz and two minutes after I finished my final the internet went down. Previously that same family member was doing an online assignment for high school and failed it as the internet went down. Her teacher was understanding enough as she also had Buckeye and understood my family member's situation. Doing schoolwork with Buckeye is a dangerous game.
Everyone I know who has this company as their ISP has been having numerous issues. The frequent outages are ridiculous. If we're paying $200-300 for Internet and cable, that Internet better work.
Basically, if you want usable Internet, move on if you can. I know not a single person with Buckeye who doesn't resent it, and with increasingly high costs, I can't find a single reason not to look elsewhere unless you can only get Buckeye in your area.
Edit: I should also mention that after we got rid of Unlimited Data and capped ourselves at 250 GB to reduce costs, somehow over 45 GB of data had been used on each of two days for what Buckeye refers to as "entertainment." We were not even home, and all devices were shut down. They refused to identify what we had been doing in the name of privacy despite that fact that they had such data and we gave them our own consent to reveal it to us.
