Read moreI am temporarily unable to put weight on a foot after surgery. They have no scooters but do have push/self propelled wheelchairs. However, they are in very poor shape, no baskets or those bags to use with the wheelchairs, and it's impossible to push a cart/trolley when in the wheelchair. Many departments were shrunk and are crammed with displays so tightly that you can't get wheelchairs around them, between them, or up to displays. No clue how a scooter would manage. A friend, on a scooter, informed me she simply doesn't bother shopping there. I struggled to get in line and not a single employee would offer help as I dropped everything when I propelled myself forward. My lap didn't have enough room for two shirts and my jacket. I resorted to holding my bag to the door by my teeth and chin. They locked the doors so I could not get back to my car. Since I was locked in waiting for my sister to come up to the doors, employees leaving continued to pass me and didn't bother to hold the door for me. Not one offered help in any way.
Sale signs were up all over but we're blank. There were no holiday deals. Every year we go before Christmas because of the awesome deals. It definitely limited what I wanted to purchase (besides not being able to carry it).
Many things were expensive but of poor quality, such as purses, sleepware, and jewelry.
Departments were crammed together such as electronics into women's accessories and maternity into women's sleepware.
We were looking for nightgowns but found that 99% of the department were 2 piece sets or robes.
Although we would occasionally see employees walking, not one of them offered to help anyone. One man asked my sister for help somehow confusing her with an employee. For the number of them we saw hanging/walking around toward the end, I was surprised how messy the store was.
This was among of not the worst visits to a store I have ever...
Read moreIt is rare that I actually write reviews but I just had a terrible experience at Kohl’s by Franklin Park mall. I love Kohl’s and the clothing they have but I just experienced poor customer service at its finest. I went shopping with my mom, sister, and cousin and when we checked out is when the problems began. The cashier took over 30 minutes to check us out. So my sister wanted adidas pants that were 25% off and on a rack with only those style sweatpants. When the cashier was ringing up them they did not show the discount so the cashier said well it’s not pulling up soooo... my mother decided to take them off. My sister who really wanted these sweatpants went to the section and took a picture of the fixture with the promotion above and ONLY those pants were on them. So she showed the cashier the picture and she said did you take this today in a very argumentative manner. My sister told her yes and she said she would get a manager and told him over the walkie that she has customers WHO think the pants are on sale and they THEY think that should be the price. Ten years later after she was done ringing us up after other mishaps she decided to write in red pen all over the receipts saying Kohl’s cash. I have never seen them stamp or write that on a receipt and we shop their often. My issue is that the cashier was accusatory and disrespectfully speaking to a teenager who was excited about getting her adidas pants. Instead of standing there thinking that we were pulling one on her maybe she should have walked over there to look for herself. I get that people do take advantage of the “customers always right” policy for many retail companies. But seriously try harder that was 45...
