Very disappointed in my experience here. This location specifically is not POC friendly and hires employees who are racist. Three weeks ago I came here to shop like a normal person would. After picking out three items I walked to the dressing room and waited to get the number card. There was a young lady who was white who came up said how many items she had and no hesitation was given her card. When it was my turn I showed three fingers and verbalized that I had 3 items. The employee at the dressing room an older lady with medium length hair balding in the middle of her head proceeds to ask me if my pants had tags. Confused I stated i’m not sure but it doesn’t matter that much I may not even buy them I just wanted to try on the clothes. Then she proceeded to come around and say that sometimes clothes don’t have tags while sifting through each item. Mind you it was clear I had three items in my hand. This lady lied saying she had to check for price tags instead of just asking to count. After I get my card I come back out the dressing room without even trying them on because at this point I did not want to give TJMAXX my money at all and then as i’m leaving a white man comes up says he has two and she hands him his card and waves him in no questions asked. Very disappointed in this experience especially because I never shop here. All during Black History Month at that. I watched this lady only question me about my items but no one else. As a black woman these are things that we instantly pick up...
Read moreNormally when you tryon items, the dressing room attendant will count each item on the hanging rack and then give you a number. Yesterday the attendent did a full body searh by counting the items, patted down, looked inside each item and then said after this two minute search, which was starting to form a line, she says "you can't try on your pants because it doesn't have a sales ticket (bar code)." What? When did this policy start? How was I suppose to know it didn't have a tag? TJMAXX when you update policies, notify your customers and be consistent becauss I didn't see that type of search with everyone.
I may find a new favorite place to shop that's fair...

After I left the area that she was following me, I purchased my item and watched her move away from that area. There were other people in the store that behaved questionable if we are going off of opinions as to whether or not profiling is necessary. Use cameras and common sense if you want to lower your risk of loss🙄 instead of these old school tactics. Cheap retailers are the worst! Spend your money at places with quality items...
