MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Texas

First off, I want to say that I absolutely LOVE Mod Pizza! I always go to the Tomball location off Main St. & 249, the one off 290 in Cypress by the Premium Outlet Mall, or the one by 99 and Holzworth. I love the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality of food. HOWEVER, this location has got to be the worse one yet. Just my luck I just flew in from Hawaii exhausted and my son, who I hadn't seen in a week, really wanted to eat here instead of Olive Garden or Willie's nearby. This place was filthy! They were low on literally EVERYTHING! Sauces, veggies, napkins, drinks- no one thought to take the time to refill anything and keep it "fully stocked". The bar was so messy and unclean, sausages were in the pepperoni, staff had flour all over their clothes, food all over the floor. Everyone was not friendly. They looked really stressed, didn't smile, didn't greet us like all the other Mods. Didn't even mix my salad correctly! She literally took the tongs and tossed everything 3 times and called it a day. It didn't even have enough dressing. The pizza was soggy and not crunchy/crispy like my other pizza experiences. Trashcans were completely full, trash was falling out. I wanted to cut them some slack and say, "It was late everything is probably a mess around this time". (8 pm) But last night I went to Mod Pizza again in Cypress around 9:15 p.m and the absolute opposite. Everyone was enthusiastic, helpful, and friendly. We were greeted, it was clean, everything was fully stocked. THE WAY IT SHOULD BE! I'm not going to stop going to Mod Pizza but will definitely avoid this location. I didn't get a good shot of the line/food bar without being too obvious, but I really wish I could show you how messy it was and how everything was almost empty. Most of the tables were so dirty with food all over the floor. Management needs to be replaced and have re-train sessions with the employees here. I have never written a negative review before, however, felt it was necessary to do so after my experience at this location. MOD Pizza is a restaurant that my family enjoys very much so. We have always attended the Vintage Park location and had great experiences with it. When I went to pick up two pies and a salad at the new Grand Parkway location, however, my experience was less than great. I ordered one mini caesar salad with no tomato, one mini pepperoni and one mini white sauce with cheese. My server failed to put any dressing on my caesar salad and placed tomatoes within it even after asking him to not do so as he was putting them in there. The pepperoni pizza was made as ordered. The white sauce with cheese pizza had red sauce dripped over the sides of it and the server wiped the inside of his nose with his fingers before finishing the pie. At checkout, he repeated my order but left off the salad. I informed him that I also had a salad to pay for and would like some dressing for it. He then neglected to ring up my salad and then proceeded to chase me down once realizing that he had done this. I willingly paid with no reluctance, but again asked for dressing to go with my salad. In the end, I asked one of the men from the back for dressing. My review is not negative against this store location, simply against the incompetent server that I had. This was my very first time at any MOD Pizza location. First impression was very horrible - our attendant AnnaGrace was very rude, we tried to overlook the attitude and focus on the two gentleman attendants service but her attitude overpowered their service. At first I thought maybe she was having a bad night. But as our group (5) moved down the line I noticed she was very dry and had poor customer service in all. We sat outside due to the ugly mood she set for us. But as we sat and enjoyed our food and watched her attend more customers, I noticed her demeanor change when waiting on minorities and non-minority customers. She was very bubbly with the non-minority customers and dry and rude with the minority customers. I was shocked! I’ve never experience racism in my life. You read about it, hear about but never think it will happen to you. I will never give this location any of my hard earned money. This owner/manager whoever should take a good look at the staff they choose to hire. As it is a reflection of themselves. You should be ashamed. I sincerely feel bad for her coworkers who deal with it. It seemed like it was nothing new when I asked the young man for her name and he asked why.
