Now, from the outset, let me say that I was late for my appointment. Nonetheless, I was considerate enough to call ahead and inform them of that. After explaining myself and saying I would be a matter of minutes late, I was greeted with an exasperated, OK. Not āThank You for callingā, not ā We appreciate your calling, not āNot a problemā, just OK. Once I arrived I was unceremoniously met by, ā Do you have a Mask?ā. Not, āGood Afternoon, can I help you?ā After having the entire staff look at me like I was an Alien that just stepped from its Spacecraft, I was given a Mask. The sign on the door says, no more than five people at a time. How many chairs are there? Four. So I am forced to stand there, like a five year old in the corner being given a time out. After a time Iām ushered to the window, at which point the questioning begins. As I answer, the young Lady completely dismisses me, mid sentence, in favor of her coworkers problem with another matter. I wait. Once their problem is solved, Iām asked for my Insurance documents. After producing them I am then asked all the same questions I was just asked on the phone, not 24 hours ago. Why am I being asked all the same questions once again, and why am I being given a ream of forms to fill out after covering this just hours ago? I am not accustomed to being treated like so much Cattle on the Hoof. Nor do I appreciate being treated like a petulant Child. I have Medical issues and regularly go for testing in numerous locations and at the direction of several different Physicians. I have yet to run across such an Unprofessional and dismissive group. Quite the contrary actually, and after asking for my documents back, Iāve had enough. While the front end staff might be good at handling paperwork, they are sorely lacking in people skills and Bedside manner. Apparently they are more versed in making sure the required documents are in the right basket as opposed to communication skills and propriety. I will, in the future, find another venue at which I can have this testing done, rather than have them think they hold some sort of sway over
me, like a side of Beef. Overall, a throughly distasteful experience, to which I will not allow myself to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen using AMI for the past 3 years. First they lost my husbandās biopsy last year. It took so many calls and one person pushed it off on the next person! A ton of stress! After one month they found it! Not what you do to a cancer patient!!! Just wrong! Now I had a cat scan scheduled. They knew that I am allergic to IVP die. They had me come in the week before and gave me two bottles of Barium to drink before I went there in the morning. When I arrived, my stomach was not feeling well and I needed to use the restroom. When I came out, they informed me that they could not do my CAT scan because they needed to medicate me the day before. I already prepped for the CAT scan. I now have to do it again. This was not new to them. The reason I did not pick up on it was because I was on medication prior to the last cat scan. My doctor decided we were going to do an MRI and an MRCP so I called them back and schedule my new appointment. They gave me a location that does this test because the one close to me hose dose not do the test there. Fast-forward to two weeks later. The day before my appointment I received a call telling me that they are canceling my appointment! What! Why? How does this happen? I gave her all the information on the new scrip and she told me the closest one to my hour dose not do MRCP so SHE gave me another location. No problem. I get the call today telling me I canāt get this test tomorrow morning because they messed up again!!!! This is just wrong! My doctors appointment is this Friday. I asked if there were any other places available. She told me the nearest place Is 1 1/2 hours from here the day before my Drs appointment! Are they kidding!!! The next Available appointment closer to my house is a week after my doctors appointment! This is just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love coming to AMI, specifically this location and Wall. The staff is always organized, knowledgeable, and helpful. I recently needed a preventive procedure(a biopsy) that some doctors at another AMI location didn't want to do even though my specialist said it was necessary. Kristin called me back and helped me find a doctor at an AMI location who was cooperative and understanding. She was able to get me into this Toms River location quickly after being turned down by another location. And I had a prescription.
Gracie the radiology technician is always sweet and professional and does a great job with my ultra sounds. She has helped me before and always makes me feel comfortable as this has been an ongoing process over the last five years.
Today her, Phillip, and Dr. Khanna were all wonderful in completing my biopsy. They're a great team and I highly recommend this location for medical needs. Phillip was very sweet and explained everything beforehand. Needing a biopsy is scary and I appreciated Dr. Khanna's kindness and explanation of what was happening as it happened.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience today and other times I've been here or at the Wall location. While I have only been here, the unmentioned location, and Wall, I love my experiences with this AMI and I'm very grateful that an issue created by another AMI location was resolved so quickly. AMI runs things so well and they make it a lot easier than going through a hospital. I will never go the the third unamed location ever again. They are not as organized, not as helpful, and not as friendly and they created an issue that was completely unnecessary and...
