Two issues I see happening in the hospitality industry, poor service and quality. I am a foodie! I am a cook and former Chef. I am appalled that food that is served is seldom checked for quality before it is served. I ordered scallops and they came beautifully caramelized, hot and they looked good. The second the first bite touched my lips I tasted and smelled ammonia. Yep, old scallops! I was never asked once served if everything was to my satisfaction. I had to call someone over to assist me. On top of all of this was the cleanliness and disrepair I observed. The floor Was lightly littered with food debris and the tables seemed greasy. There was a light over the sushi bar out and the bubble fountain near the front door was drained, dirty and cracked. Now here comes the best part of our visit. A cook comes out in the dining room takes off his shoes and lays down in the booth near the sushi bar. The entire staff shows they do not care about anything so I question their sanitation practices, food preparation and menu. This place is not worth your patronage there are better choices in the area! Ginza get it together or...
Read moreI am not typically one who enjoys reviews or hibachi, but my experience at Ginza completely changed that. At other hibachi restaurants I find that the meat is over cooked and the rice and noodles taste the same. Johnny made sure that that was not the case here. He made sure to explain the yum-yum and ginger sauces, and what foods he recommends pairing them with. He took the time to cook each meat carefully, making sure to pay attention to their temperatures, so as to not overcook them. Another party at our table ordered the Ginza for Two, which was several types of seafood. Although I didn't taste them, the scallops from their order looked absolutely perfect with a beautiful sear. The chicken was tender and juicy. He even gave everyone who ordered steak a small piece to try to make sure that it was cooked to their liking before serving the rest. Aside from his cooking talents, Johnny was very friendly and personable. He was by far the best hibachi chef I have ever met. I cannot say enough good things about him, the rest of the staff, and the restaurant in general. I will definitely...
Read moreThe food tasted good and seemed fresh when I went there and ate it, the only thing I noticed about the hibachi lunch special was the sauce everything was cooked in was a bit overpowering and a bit too sweet for my liking, but it tasted like a good meal overall. Unfortunately by the time I drove home my stomach was rumbling, and long story short I haven’t stopped going to the bathroom for about 24 hours now. Not going back after my experience and reading some of these other reviews, I also was told the menus needed to be updated and prices would be higher. Over all experience tells me this isn’t a well run...
