Customer service was poor in mattress area, then got better as far as simple customer service skills and demeanor. (I guess it depends if they had a bad day or need to go smoke...smh). She walked past us after helping another customer and looked straight at us then turned and kept walking. After saying something she turned around and asked if we needed help. Unfortunately, she couldn't answer specific questions regarding their mattress sales, deals, specifics of mattresses in stock on the floor, had no suggestions except 1, and even then couldn't tell us the specifics(pros/cons/ differences). We parted ways as it was clear she didn't care to be helping us, and felt more like we were a burden to her.
No one was available to pull out a mattress I was interested in purchasing (which was being discontinued.. last one left). I was willing to do it, but they said no sorry, I'd have to come back the next day (despite it being in the afternoon).
Having done research for 12+months, I knew what I was looking for, but even then she didn't have any straight answers for the info I inquired about. Nor did she go yet to find anyone to help(knowing my intentions were to purchase that day). She literally couldn't tell me differences, specific thickness of foam, coils, etc, which weren't listed in a much detail as most bed details at other stores.
It soured us, but we kept looking until we narrowed down just to have to go back if I wanted to purchase what I was interested in(I believe others were busy, or manager was gone, idk).
Unfortunately a kind young man from another department came over, who's demeanor was great! He had way more knowledge than previous sales person, but didn't work in that department, so couldn't answer specifics of a deal they were running, or if a need he said was being discontinued and I wanted to look at to purchase depending on price... which was unknown. He was nice, but couldn't get us the answers we needed either. At least he showed effort and you could tell he was invested in their company, despite being unable to get the attention of the only person/man who could answer the questions we had.
Not impressed. Not knowledgeable of their own products, details, or specific sales/coupons/details.
Nothing special above higher quality mattress shops. Process were much higher than others running Labor Day sales. They don't carry Beautyrest brands, just fyi.
Disappointed, wanted to purchase locally, and now Jane missed all the other sales I was looking at as well.

Read moreThe husband and I just bought a beautiful blue, sectional couch to go in our new house. This couch caught my eye at the beginning. I walked around the whole bottom floor of the store at every other couch they had and just didn't see anything that made me go "Oh, that's the one!" I kept finding my mind wondering back to this couch and just how much loved the feel of it, the color, everything screamed, "YES BUY IT!" Everything but the price. With 3 cats and a dog I just could not justify spending close to 1000$ on a couch that might have a stain or claw marks. Some items are worth it, but I made myself wait, and come back to see if it was still there a few days ago. When I first saw this couch, I met Lindsey. I asked about the price of the couch and if there was a chance that price would come down. This piece was a floor model, for roughly $839, excluding tax. I essentially decided to wait and see if it would still be there closer to the end of the month. I went in April 19th to negotiate on the price of this couch if it was still there. I went and checked if it was, and when I saw it was I asked for help from a worker at the front who called over a specialist. At first I didn't realize right away who I was talking with, but when we got to the couch it all clicked. It was Lindsey! To say I was happy is an understatement. She already knew I had come and looked at this couch at the beginning of the month so she had a good understanding of how much I actually liked this couch! I talked with Lindsey and asked if there was anyway this price could come down closer to $450. She was super helpful and went back to talk to her Manager (Who I never got the name of but, THANK YOU!!!!!). When she came back she said there was a few things they could go for me, they brought the price down to around $739 instead and then added a discount and offered a roughly $150 gift card towards the purchase. I paid, after tax, around $586. Lindsey was an actual godsend, along with her manager. I can not express how thankful I am to have run into this group of employee's. They helped me work this out till the very end, and they absolutely did not have to do what they did. I will forever be grateful for that act of kindness. Thank you Lindsey for making this couch happen for me. It's beautiful and it fits perfectly in our home. Blue couch with blue kitchen counter tops! You really made this purchase worth while. Lastly, thank you to the manager, again, and the other workers that helped wrap, and bring out the furniture so we could load it! You all helped get my beautiful dream...
Read moreI worked with both Judy and Tyler in purchasing my furniture and accessories. Both were very professional and very efficient. If it had not been for their continued help, I might not have followed through with these purchases as they were only wants, not needs.
On Judy’s day off, Tyler stepped in and provided service and was knowledgeable on my account as Judy had left everything in the computer. I believe he even made a phone call on my behalf.
Judy suggested and found just the perfect fabrics to match furniture I had previously purchased at The Furniture Mall so I could coordinate my rooms. She even found material to blend with the coffee ottoman I bought two years ago here. Her overall knowledge of the products was outstanding.
I must also mention Carol as I feel I can always walk over to her and ask a decorating question and she will stop and take time for me.
Tyler was very patient and went over my questions concerning the savings after purchasing the protection plan. This savings encouraged me to buy the several accessories along with my couch and rug. He always smiled and made me feel welcome in my several visits to complete these purchases.
Finally Judy called me back twice with answers to my phone questions. On Sunday she even called to invite me to the St. Jude Event, which saved me even more. Also all three of the employees called me by name and that made me feel special.
Donna also answered my question with a very friendly response that evening that made me get up from my movie and get dressed late on a sleepy Sunday afternoon to come to the store to save more.
I did thank the Winters on my way out for this wonderful event. The two cute young nephews even carried my accessories out for me.
I am one happy customer, and I will always return to my favorite store because I feel that these people care about helping me make the right decisions for my home.
These are the type of employees that deserve something special. How about a free lunch for them! They are the ones who are filling up my folder with with receipts from your store. ( I wish I knew the name of the gentleman who checked me out as I checked everything three times. He was so patient, possibly his name was David. )
