I’ll start with the positive. The food is good (most of the time, sometimes the produce is not) and very affordable. Stephanie who works here is so great, always friendly and helpful. However, I had been waiting for an item that was in the flyer as a special. It was supposed to come out today. I went in the store to look for it and walked up and down the aisles and couldn’t find it anywhere. There was only one girl on the register so I wasn’t going to bother her while she was so busy. As I was about to leave, I noticed a woman, not sure of her name but she was working, not on a register and not with a customer. I politely told her I was looking for this particular item that was in the flyer and I was about to ask her if she knew where it was, or if maybe they have not been stocked on the floor yet, when she gave me a look like I was such a huge inconvenience to her, and rudely said I don’t know, you have to go look for it then turned away from me insinuating that was the end of the conversation. Obviously I had already looked for it and couldn’t find it. I am just so done with terrible customer service. I would never have bothered her if she were with a customer or visibly busy. It was obvious that she did not wish to take 1 minute of her time to help me. If you can’t be helpful or at least polite then you really shouldn’t work in customer service and quite frankly she was...
Read moreUpon entering self checkout today, I walked over to a closed register and tried to take a grocery cart to put my groceries in as the store had no bags and it was difficult to put my groceries back in my original cart as my infant grandson/car seat was in there with my daughters groceries. As I reached for it an employee came running behind me and said “No! mine!!” As if she were a child. I released the cart and replied “what happened to customer service?” To which she told me I was rude. If asking about customer service is rude then she doesn’t belong in that particular type of business. I wish I knew her name so that I could report her but the only description I can tell you is she is the woman with a ponytail and the very large oversized tattooed eyebrows. I’m sure that is a very good description and anybody who goes there knows so I’m talking about. As quickly as I release the cart to go behind her to grab another one, she could’ve done the same thing. I too, work in customer service and would never ever speak to anybody that way. Especially, if I want you to come back to my place of business. So based on this interaction today, I would give a zero star, but I have to give it at least one so therefore that’s...
Read moreToday while shopping in this store with my mother I experienced the worst act of “customer service” I’ve ever witnessed. After learning of the store’s shortage of bags, my mother & I decided we needed another cart. The checkout lane directly behind us was closed and blocked with carts, so my mother grabbed one. This woman cashier (who can be easily identified by her cartoon character eyebrows) snatched the cart out of my mother’s hands and said rudely mine! As if that wasn’t bad enough, she then attempted to call my mom out and said that she was being rude in front of a busy store of customers. What??? Did we just take a trip in time back to kindergarten? Since when are we ripping something out of a paying customer’s hands? And it’s a GROCERY CART for Pete’s sake, go get another one!! You WORK here, it’s your literal job to take care of customers, and you could easily take a 5 second walk to the next aisle to get another cart if you needed it in that moment but she didn’t. I would say I expect more for Aldi customer service but after reading other reviews for this location it seems like this is spot on for them. There’s so many other options in town to shop and give my money, I will gladly head elsewhere for...
