A long read but my mind is blown😡😡😡!! Dinner on 4/17/23 My elderly mother loves coming here and I have never written a negative review ever about any establishment. We come here at least 1x a month sometimes 2x. Let me start by saying people came after us and had finished, paid their bill, and we were still waiting on our order. A steak dinner and a grinder. I stopped the waitress as she was going right by us. She stopped huffed, rolled her eyes, and gave no eye contact. As if I was bothering her. I asked if she was good. She turns to me and says "What's up?" with attitude. I said "What's up ..is people have come and gone, arriving after us and we still did not get our order"..she storm's away and starts yelling at, I suppose, the Manager. Goes into the kitchen, screaming and can clearly be heard into the restaurant. "Manager" comes to the table and said "What did you do to my girl?". I was appalled and said "Your girl just said What's up, when I got her attention about food we have been waiting 45 minutes for. People have come and gone". "Oh, she did that?"..he walks away. At this point, I'm beside myself that we have not received an apology or any acknowledgment about this behavior. Now it's not even about the late food. If it wasn't for the fact that it was now an hr before I had to go to work, we would have left. She brings the food, stating it just came out now. Mom's steak was cold and so was the toasted grinder. We finish and go up to the register to pay. I can't help but to say something to the "Manager" about how the entire experience was handled. I have worked food service and would never treat a customer in that way. Let alone a manager, who should have addressed the attitude, the yelling, and how his behavior was also unprofessional. I said you do realize neither one of you have apologized. YOU being front of the house and I'm assuming, a manager, need to take responsibility for her behavior. That's not ok! He stated "I tried to talk to you but you..". I stopped him and said you are going to dare flip this onto me, you walked away! A Manager should deescalate not add to it. Prints our bill..65.00 and thank the stars I caught it!! Was not our bill. This was the "Manager" who printed!! We still tipped 20% because clearly she is not experienced and has no management to...

I was referred to this cozy family owned restaurant going on 35 years by the desk clerk at the Days Inn. She raved about it so much that I decided to give it a try. I knew from the moment I walked thru the doiecand was greeted by the manager, this is going to b ed a great experience. They let me sit anywhere I wanted and proceeded to yell me about the lunch specials which run from 11am to 5pm. All the way up until dinner time. The special kn s were very diverse. From beef to chicken t ok seafood. It took me a little extra time to decide. The manager told me soup and coffee were free sides with any special. Mind you that the prices weren't any higher that the places with out those free sides. I decided on French onion soup, it was perfect, just like my wife makes. I decided on the crab cake with potato and vegetable. The vegetables doesn't just come out of a can or bag, they looked and tasted like they were hand picked and cooked like my Mom used to do. The crab cake was our if this world and the many desserts they offer kept me busy deciding for a bit. This place is a stones throw away from the Days Inn so I decided to walk over. I would highly recommend if your staying in Torrington or anywhere near by. Consider passing up the fast TV food a n.v d if you want a real dining experience, consider giving Twn Coliny Diner a try. They even have a small jukebox at almost every booth so you can gave fun picking t hff e music to dine with. I'm from WNY. I wish we had a place that even cam close t ok this one. WARNING RAW FOOD!!!! This place has absolutely gone down hill. If your not dining in chances are your going to have a very bad experience. 2 months ago I was getting lunch here at least twice a week food was great ( keep in mind my drive is 13 minutes one way and I have a 30 minute lunch break) however one day I was sent out with the wrong food. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich and got a chicken bacon sandwhich. I'm allergic to bacon. Unfortunately I didnt realize this until I got back to work. The waitress was very nice recognized who I was and told me next time I order, my lunch will be taken care of. The following week I order my lunch and go to pick it up. An older gentlemen with broken english who I believe is the owner was checking me out and I explained how the waitress told me it was taken care of. He then decided to call me a liar and start yelling at me in front of the whole restaraunt because I did't bring my food back so i'm just trying to get free food. After being embarrased especially since I worked in a restaraunt for 4 years I said its fine ill pay for it even after the waitress informed him about the situation. He persisted to yell at me. After that experience I took a break from ordering there. Well flash forward to today I decided to try and order again from them because I believe in bad days. I ordered french toast waitress was great, he checked me out I get back to work and the entire center of my french toast was raw eggs. I have a serious health condition and cant have raw eggs or meat. I had to throw out my lunch. NEVER...
