Pat's Pizzazz Furniture — Local services in Torrington

Absolutely terrible service. Incredibly rude owner. I am 20 years old and just moved into a one bedroom apartment this last month. I spent $2,700 on a sectional from this store. A sectional that the sales rep insured would fit in my space after I provided exact measurements of the room. When 3/4 pieces arrived it was apparent the fourth piece would absolutely not fit. I called 5/6 days ahead before the final piece was set to arrive (2 days after the 3/4 pieces had been delivered to me) and asked for them to cancel the order and refund me. The piece was not even shipped out yet. It had just been put on a truck that night. She said with a fee it could be taken off the truck but she didn’t want to pay it. I told her i’d pay whatever fee to cancel it but she still refused to cancel the order and refund me the money. She told me to “get a storage unit or something” and that it’d be delivered the following week. I called a month after I last spoke to them and she laughed at me on the phone, denied everything she said and told me to figure it out. “Put it in a closet or in your bedroom” A CHAISE LOUNGE mind you. She hung up on me and is refusing to refund me my money. Just as an idea of the price of the piece a single chaise and a single end piece was $1,400. So she pocketed a thousand dollars of my money. I recently relocated to Torrington and needed to furnish my one bedroom apartment. Unfamiliar with the area, I initially chose Bob’s Furniture (in Southington) for all my furnishings, the order was placed and a delivery date set. The following day I happened to come across Pat’s Pizzazz Furniture and decided to stop in and look around. To my surprise they had similar pieces to what I had just ordered at Bob’s but at a lower price, loveseat, dining set w/chairs, bedroom set w/ mattress and boxspring, TV console, & computer table). Amanda, showed me the pieces I was interested in and when all was said and done I placed the order with them. I called Bob’s and cancelled my entire order. Pat’s prices were better and shipping charge less.

when it comes to buying a mattress I will NEVER buy a mattress from pats pizzazz again I bought one 5 years.ago and only got 3 years out of it before one side of the mattress started to sag on one side. I told them about it and they told me I could get the same mattress for free. and they would give me a credit toward a new one. I told them that I would have to think about it. and get back to them. of course that mattress only had a 5 year warrenty and it started sagging on the one side after 3 years of use. so if your going to go mattress shopping go somewhere else your better off. and you will get a...
