Newspaper headline said "Fiber internet coming to _, 450 homes to be provided with fiber by the end of May". I've been signed up on their list since 2023 when they put notices on people's doors that they'd be doing fiber. 2025 the fiber installing began throughout the town. I waited till I didn't see workers out on my street for about a week or so, this was in June. I called and scheduled an appointment for fiber install. A week later, the tech shows up late, and says he's the ONLY tech in the area. That's fine, I'm not mad it took a little longer, but why is he the only tech? He then tells me the workers didn't set up the fiber drop to my house, and that there was nothing he could do. Disappointed, but not angry. Called and asked when they can do the drop. I am told there's not really a crew scheduled to come out for that, they'll ask around and call me back. I never received a call back. Pretty sure they had to special order a crew to come out and do the drop. This took weeks. Fiber drop is done, new box on the side of my house. Called and asked "I should be able to get fiber installed right?" -"Alright, we don't have a fiber tech scheduled to come out there yet, I'll figure it out and call you back." Never received a call back. Called and schedulex a new fiber install after a day of waiting for a call back. "There's only one day that the tech can come out" I say that's fine, send him out. It is now August. Waited another week for the scheduled install. The time of the appointment comes and goes. After an hour, I call and ask what's going on. They let me know that they can't install my fiber until the WHOLE STREET in connected and up and running. "I'm sorry no one called and told you that." Yeah, that would've been really nice to know earlier, like maybe months earlier? Now I have to wait for God knows how much longer for the fiber crew to come back to the town and finish work on my street, after already waiting 2 months for this fiber internet. Now I'm angry. I need the faster internet in order to get a 2nd job and pay my bills. I've been waiting months and months and have been strung along constantly and given false hope throughout the whole ordeal. Downloads are done in no time. No more waiting for hours for Windows updates! I can downstream a movie without waiting for "buffering" every 10 seconds, which was terribly annoying with my old service provider. With a dual band gigabit router and with gigabit ethernet adapters in my computers, access to the Internet is blazing fast. Adding a 300 or 600mbps usb wireless adapter to an older computer makes it very competitive with newer computers at a very low cost.
Visionary's customer service department folks are friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable about their products and services. They are very willing to make sure they present their company in the best possible way.

My wife works from home so she depends on great internet.On average we range between 40-50 mbps which is far better than we had with Spectrum (cable internet) while we lived in town our average was 15 mbps or less. Our only complaint is periodically our internet speed drops in the evening to lower numbers that affect streaming, but we live in the sticks. As Visionary expands the issue will resolve itself. ...
