This location to say the least requires new staff. I called and made an appointment 2 1/2 weeks or longer and it was booked for Nov 5th which was a Thursday. I advised Patrick whom answered the phone when I called that I had to drop off the day before. He said ok. I get there on Nov 4th and a gentleman greets me outside and said "You have an install appt for remote start and there is no installer here on Thursdays. I dont know who you spoke to it should not have been booked. I asked what his name was and he indicated Patrick. I then told him that he was the one I talked to who booked the appt". My 1st thought was why wasnt I called and informed of this before I made the trip here. I then asked that very question and received no response. We go inside and I asked about rescheduling and he told me to just call him next week to see if he has anything. I inquired with him about my sister as she had an appt that upcoming Saturday Nov 7th and he said she is all good. Saturday comes and he called my sister and changed her appt til the 21st of Nov. I then called him and asked why wasnt I called with a date and my appt was prior to hers. He then booked it for the same day. Fast forward to that day, I called to the store before taking my vehicle to make sure all was well and Patrick answered and stated I was good to go. My vehicle was there all day and I didnt receive a call. My sister called to inquire and she was asked if we could leave our vehicles overnight as they were not able to get to them. I see so much wrong with this when it comes to customer service is it very disappointing and dissatisfaction. Neither my sister nor I should of had to call only to get that information. 2nd I didnt get a call at all he left it up to my sister to let me know. The next day comes and my sister gets a call from Patrick at 1108am and he tells her that he doesnt have an installer. Again I didnt get a call at all. I called him instead asked how was he doing and he laughed and said I dont have an installer. I told him that I was coming to get my vehicle and I expected a refund as this was completely a waste of my time. I am very unhappy with this whole process at the manchester location. Read moreI took my 2013 CRV in to get an updated Stereo and Maps. Back in 2013 the system only had hands free link and a very poor USB stick access to music. I pretty much knew what I wanted as I have an older Kenwood unit in one of my other cars and like it. I worked with Shalen to look at the one I thought I wanted and other models and found Kenwood had removed features from my old one on what appeared to be the newer model of it. So to get the same functionality I had to go with a better unit. I wanted to read up on it so went home did so found it was what I really wanted so I called back to schedule it. The install happened and everything looked good. It wasn't long after words I found that the old Honda Bluetooth was still active and since it had been connected to my phone but deleted from the phone it insistently pinged my phone to connect which prompted pairing requests about every 30 seconds. After working with the phone and finding no way to block a pairing request I took it back in. Shalen tried a number of things but could not get to the old Bluetooth from the new stereo. We scheduled another appointment where I think they reconnected the old radio and deleted the pairing and put the new one back in. Whatever they did it worked perfectly. They made it right! I would not hesitate to go back in the future. For anyone else replacing a radio that already has Bluetooth in it make sure you delete it from the current system just incase the Bluetooth is a separate module from the radio like...
Read moreBest car installer in town. Hands down. Here's my story: I brought in my Tacoma for an install w/ a subwoofer kit that I bought off of amazon. The kit that I bought off of amazon was for second gen tacoma's and not third gen (i have a third gen taco). The subwoofer box did not fit behind the seats like it was supposed to. Instead of leaving my high and dry, they found a subwoofer box that would fit, ordered it, and installed & transfered the subwoofer over for FREE. Because I bought the wrong parts, I should of paid extra for the reinstall... but because of their quality customer service they reinstalled it completely free. Comparing to local competitors in STL, the labor was cheap. The little details really added up. I had a bass knob installed, and instead of painfully drilling into the plastic they used 3M adhesive tape. They also did an amazing job wiring it up and tuning it. 10/10 would recommend these guys any day. Yes, Best Buy install IS cheaper... but 1) they have assosiates who are entry-level enthusiasts who do sub-par installs (friend got a sub installed with them and he noted that their customer service and install job was not the best), and 2) they are booked for months. I was able to get a booking in less than a week. Thank you Custom Sounds and Tint for taking care of me, pleased with the install and will be back in a year or so for an upgrade. Thank you!
