Friendly Island — Local services in Town of Alexandria

Wonderful island! Wonderful host! Wonderful renovations! Wonderful holiday! A whole lot of wonderful! I want to call particular attention to the amazing host, who works so hard to provide an incredible experience for guests. Hosts at other places we have rented have been perfunctory and businesslike, but, at this island, it is as if we are old friends. The host wants to do so much for you! Never have I seen anyone go to the lengths this host does, to ensure guests' supreme happiness and enjoyment - or take such delight in doing so! And this host gets 10 stars on the integrity scale! I overpaid the host in error, and did not notice. The host noticed, and promptly refunded the overpayment! Incidentally, I did my research prior to booking, and discovered that ALL the negative reviewers are trolls who never ever rented this island, never ever stayed at this island. Sadly, some people who have no life jealously attack those that do (and who have worked for it)! This fantastic wonderland is worth every penny, and more! In the midst of these stressful and debilitating times, I feel rejuvenated and like a new person! Where else can you buy something like that?!!

Summer of 2024: Back again! Writing another 5-STAR review (I want to give more than 5 stars, but that's the maximum permitted!) My first review - above - was written in response to our introduction to island living on this private island paradise a couple of years ago. It's now our third time at this fantastic island! Still as wonderful as ever - actually, better than ever! So many wonderful additions, updates, and improvements! I look forward each year - all year -to our idyllic summer vacation at this very special island. I'm in heaven! Happy! ...

Rare opportunity to "live the dream"! Feel like a King or Queen strutting around your very own private island (and get treated like royalty by the attentive owner)! This was an experience like no other! Your mouth will drop open at the breathtaking views: your fascinating neighbors are a majestic castle, a picturesque lighthouse, and ships passing by from all over the world! Awesome sunrises and sunsets! Plenty of room for our multi-generation family of 12 to come together from far-flung places! We had such a great time catching up with each other and enjoying our days together! Fun-filled days cruising on the fabulous and scenic St. Lawrence River (world-class fishing and scuba diving, too!), and we would retire each night to a perfect night's rest on luxurious new mattresses - like sleeping on a cloud! I am missing the island already. We already blocked our dates for next year: looking forward to two weeks of sheer bliss instead of one! 5 stars don't do it justice. The ultimate vacation! The premises are immaculate and meticulously maintained! So many new spaces! Everything possible has been done for your comfort, enjoyment, and safety. Please do not listen to negative reviews written by people who have never stayed on the island but are trying to drum up business for the competition (however, there is no competition - nothing can compare to this magnificent island! So the "competition" has to resort to fake reviews!). And the owner, the incredible owner - there are not enough superlatives to describe her! She delights in fulfilling your every need. And specializes in wish fulfillment! I felt like a pampered princess...
