Do not recommend for Marriage License at Town Hall. Ms. Marjorie Jaeger needs an attitude adjustment. Construction on Main St. made it impossible to find a parking spot, and then with the re routed traffic took forever to park in the rear parking lot. According to Ms. "Snippy" Marjorie, I should have arrived earlier. I arrived at 3:55, and apparently that wasn't enough time for them to process my Marriage License so my request was denied. Ms. "Snippy" Marjorie, was beyond friendly..not sure if she was having a bad day, but was a hell of a way to treat taxpayers. Mayor Kulpa was in the building at the same time and upon speaking with him, I expressed my disappointment, but since Ms. "Snippy" Marjorie is an elected position, there was nothing he could do. I firmly believe that it's not a matter of her staff not being able to facilitate my request, it's that they didn't want to. Called the Clerk's office in the morning to verify that they're open until 4pm (no lunch break to work around, thankfully!). I stopped by around 3pm with an application (which I'd downloaded online from their website) for a copy of my birth certificate. The young woman who helped me was kind, courteous, and efficient.
