Hi-Fi Hits Records — Local services in Town of Amherst

So my review is only on the CD section. Keep that in mind that I only collect CD albums and really own only 1 vinyl album.

If you are wondering about the Vinyl section I can only tell you what it looked like at a glance and that would be, decently stocked.

Ok back to the CD section. I'll just break it down by pro's and cons:

//PROs: Good selection Clean store Organized very well (Alphabetically + by artist) Some gems peppered in there

//CONS: Used and New mixed in same section Security cases on each album (have to ask for cond. of discs) Some used CD's were priced questionably high Came in for used CD that was available on the website. Couldn't find it.

I'll rate them a 3 on paper, but my real thoughts are probably at 3 & 1/2 stars. Only because I came in here on a lunch break looking for something I thought would be there and it wasn't. And also, just can't see myself coming back here w/ some of the CD's priced at what they are.

You may have a completely different Vinyl album experience here. I would check the place out to decide...

Most unprofessional and inept company. They take orders that they cant fulfill. They cancel orders without any explanation. They dont answer their phone when customers call to inquire about order status. They dont respond to emails or voicemails when clients contact them to inquire about order status And when they do answer their phone on a rare occasion- they have unprofessional personnel who hang up the phone on you. The owner is really nice and is usually fair when it comes to buying used vinyl. Unfortunately the new manager doesn't know much about music, except maybe current pop 40 stuff, and can be very rude. She acts like she owns the place, even though I've been going there for at least 4 years and have never seen her there before. She also tries to low ball you if you're trying to sell them stuff. If the owner isn't there, which she just told me today that he doesn't come in much anymore, don't waste your time trying to sell them anything...
