If you ever find yourself at Steelbound, be sure to look for Emily behind the bar — she's not just a bartender, but an experience in herself. From the moment you step up to the counter, her warm smile and genuine enthusiasm make you feel right at home. It’s clear that Emily takes pride in her craft and truly enjoys connecting with her customers.
First, let’s talk about her drinks. Whether you’re a fan of classic cocktails or looking for something more adventurous, Emily has an incredible ability to balance flavors and craft beverages that not only taste amazing but also look beautiful. Her attention to detail is second to none. I ordered a cocktail that I wasn’t familiar with, and she took the time to explain the ingredients and process with a level of expertise that made the drink even more enjoyable. Every sip was perfect — balanced, refreshing, and not overly complicated.
But Emily's skillset goes far beyond just mixing drinks. Her customer service is unparalleled. She knows how to read a room, picking up on subtle cues to deliver just the right amount of attention. She’s quick, efficient, and always manages to make you feel like you’re her top priority, even when the bar is packed. She remembers regulars’ names and their drink preferences, and yet, is equally adept at making newcomers feel like they belong. That kind of personalized service is rare, and it’s a testament to how much Emily genuinely cares about creating a positive experience for everyone who walks through the door.
On top of all that, Emily has a natural charisma that’s infectious. Whether you’re chatting with her about the latest trends in mixology or just enjoying some casual banter, she makes the bar feel like an extension of your own living room. It's clear she values building relationships with her guests, and her easy-going personality makes everyone feel like they’re part of the conversation.
The ambiance of the bar itself is fantastic, but it's Emily who really elevates the overall experience. She’s the kind of bartender who makes you look forward to coming back. If you're lucky enough to have her serve you, you're in for a treat — not just in terms of the drinks but in the way she effortlessly creates an inviting, warm environment. Emily is the heart and soul of the place, and it's her exceptional service and incredible drink-making skills that truly...
Read moreTried this place for the first time. It'll will also be our last. The ONLY good thing about the visit was our waitress Hannah. She was so sweet and absolutely amazing. The "manager" has NO BUSINESS being in management. He is definitely NOT management material. He never came to speak to us even after we asked to see him. He did everything in his power to avoid us. Everyone's dinner was completely screwed up. Items asked to be added or ommited from our plates were still there on some and completely absent from others. Every plate that showed up was wrong and cold. He never came out to speak with us to try and fix it, he just yelled at our waitress and didn't want to fix the problems. It wasn't her fault, she just brought the food out, she didn't cook it! He sat in the doorway of the kitchen on his phone instead of coming to speak with us. When we finally received something close enough to our orders, the whole table was done eating before mine even arrived. Again, the manager who should have brought it to the table and apologize, hid in the kitchen. The food was again cold, not cooked to the desired temps and just not good overall. Definitely Not worth the money. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time. The manager is a jerk who doesn't care and has no customer service skills. In the end instead of just comping a meal, I had to fight to get $7.00 off of the bill. Our bill was well over $200! They won't last long if this is how...
Read moreThe reviews on Yelp were abysmal which had me worried, but Google reviews seemed positive. Turns out, Yelp was right.
Went for Valentine’s dinner. Started with pretzel sticks with beer cheese. Some of the pretzels were piping hot, some were cold in the center. The cheese was great though.
Wife had the seafood risotto, which was just ok. They also dyed some of the seafood red to make it more festive I guess? Weird, unappetizing choice.
Daughter did not like her fettuccine Alfredo and she’s usually pretty easy to please. We ordered it without all the extras they add in like sundried tomatoes, spinach, and either asparagus or artichoke, forget what else was supposed to be there. They forgot to hold the tomatoes, and the chicken we asked to be added was dry.
I had the swordfish special. It was super dry and devoid of flavor. You know when you press all the water out of a can of tuna before you add the mayo and stuff to it? Tasted basically like that, bone dry, faintly fishy. The loaded baked potato was fine, and the asparagus on my plate was the highlight which is a sad state of affairs.
$9 for each beer feels high at a brewery tap room for standard offerings. The porter was not great, the Spongebomb IPA was decent.
Service was slow but not horrible. Don’t believe our waters got refilled until we asked for the check though.
I don’t think we’ll be back. Way too many good restaurants around to give a place that fumbled so badly a...
