Rose Bowl Lanes — Local services in Town of Arcadia

We wanted to take our kids to a nice afternoon of bowling. My husband called for a reservation the day before. Once we got there they had no record of it. However, they did get us a lane right away. So not a big deal. Then my husband had to go back up to the desk 10 minutes later to ask if they could turn our lane on Bc it was not on yet. Our first game not an issue. Go into second game the lane starts automatically resetting the pins when not supposed to. We go ask the desk for help Bc it’s completely messing up. Waited 20 minutes no one came. So we kept bowling with it messing up just Bc our time was being wasted to bowl. We had 2 hours to bowl Bc we got the family pack. Then we ended up with 2 different parties on each side of us and the kids from them taking our food, shoes, and just in our lane which made it so my children could not bowl. When I asked nicely please stay out of the way I don’t want you to get hurt. It didn’t matter and no parents to watch their children. I’m a parent and get kids have a mind of their own. However, when in a public setting you should watch your kids a little more closely. We didn’t even finish our bowling time for the fact we couldn’t and on top of it no one came to fix our lane either! We will never come back to this bowling alley! I dropped my son off for a party, never set foot in this place before & as we went to go talk to the host of the party someone working at this bowling alley began yelling at my son to stay off the floor. Mind you, we've never been here before, he had no idea he couldn't walk there. A simple "hey, please stay on the carpeted area with your shoes on" would have sufficed. Needless to say, I know that my teenage son was super embarrassed & it was super rude to scream at patrons. It could have been handled in a much more civilized way. What a fantastic venue the Kent's have made in Newark. I was there for a company party and will use these facilities in the future. It was a fantastic event, with darts, golf simulator, corn hole for 20+ people, Video games and bowling! The bar staff was fantastic, especially Katie!
