This was my first time working with ICFs and Chris at NY POLY STEEL was a pleasure to work with. He helped me tally my order and shipped everything promptly. Chris was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. He even rented me adjustable bracing. After completion of my pour I returned all the bracing and Chris accepted returns of all unused/undamaged forms and supplies. Now that I've made it through the learning curve of my first ICF job I will definitely use them again and NY Poly Steel will be my first call. FYI... ICF's are a great concept but don't underestimate the force of the concrete filling the forms. Its important that your concrete pumping company is well versed in pouring Insulated Concrete Forms. Big shout out to Josh from Crete Pumping. He was able to pick up on the slightest shift in the forms and stopped so we could add additional bracing. Had a house built by NYPS from the ground up Chris the owner gave me very detailed reasons as to why an insulated concrete home is better but the one that really interested me was it costs way less to heat and cool. He claimed around $30 a month on average per month year round because the thick EPS forms that they use to pour the concrete stay so you end up with a super insulated wall inside and out. That alone convinced me to go with his product and boy am I happy I did because he was right, it actually costs about $32-$39 a month for a three bedroom home. Had a few contractors to give me an estimate to raise my house and have a garage under the house Chris from New York Polysteel was not the lowest estimate but the materials he stated he would use would make my underhouse garage extremely insulated and virtually sound proof for late night mechanics he saw I liked to do.Since no other builder made that claim I chose his company, 6 weeks later I was back in my house with an amazing foundation I literally ran my chopper in the garage to test for the sound proofing and it was barely audible.
