Food are always overdue of dates and don't have workers to understand and give attutide of all your questions thankfully some managers try to handle situations about it. I've purchased food that either needs to be cooked same date or even the yogurts are expired on dates. They have to check there food items before putting them on shelves. So unfortunately I purchase foods and have to check them all the time cause the meat sections are so expensive but have to cook them for the day you purchase them. I feel they don't care but that's the only place I can go to for a quick purchase and please don't get me wrong about the workers because I happen to know almost all of them but they are very nice to me expect the newcomers who looks like they hate they're job.. they have to be more organized and polite prices need to go down because I'm in a point to...
Read moreSunset has taken a major hit these last few years. I'm unclear if its the neighborhood changing or poor management of the plaza but its become an eye soar. Over the past year i think we've lost a large Salon, the Deli, Rainbow, PetLand, Payhalf, Kids City, Friendly's, and a few of the smaller stores have rotated in and out. They now have a poor quality mexican place (a chipolte mimic), a random wedding/evening dress shop, and now a ton of empty space that is allegedly all being built for something (rumors are a gym). The king Kullen has dropped in quality and the RiteAid, no matter how many times they try to spruce it up, is understaffed, unorganized, with little inventory and consistently smells like mold. The only things savings this place are, BWW, PM Pediatrics, TFCU, Red Mango, Fashin Nail + Spa, Pizziola and the...

This shopping center is always attracting stores...the bad is a lot of new businesses fail in the first 3 years, but that's usually due to people not understanding business. Whether it's first timers or improper business models...I can't say. What I can say is its not the location. Sunset City Shopping center is just finishing a sort of revival, with a great anchor store (Uncle Giuseppies, I murdered that, lol) just opening after a full gut and remodel of the old King Killen that was in that spot.
There's a lot offered in this shopping center, and with easy access off 231/Deer Park Ave, which is fed by Sunrise Hwy, Southern State and Northern State Pkwy's as well as the L.I.E, most Long Islanders pass by several times a...
