DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

Although the young man at the front desk was a pleasure to speak with, he was busy and had a line of people waiting to check out so I looked elsewhere for an associate. It was difficult to find an employee on the floor. I found one gentleman in the fitness area but he was already working with someone. I did ask him where my item was and he responded with a "somewhere over there by the blue things." I was not able to locate what I needed so I went to the shoe department and found Ricky. Ricky deserves a raise and should instruct people on how to make a client happy. He has excellent customer service skills. Not only did he look for the item but he called management to see if it was available, and looked on the inventory system to see if there were any in the store. As I spoke with him, he told me that he is a PhD student and then it all made sense. He is a bright young man who was willing to go the extra mile to make sure that the needs of the client were met. I found the trampoline and my nephew was very happy to receive it at his 6th Birthday party. Thank you, Ricky. Went in to purchase some Sporting Good equipment for my child. Searched around for an employee on the floor for over 10 minutes and could not find anyone to help us. I had to walk up to the counter and when I did the staff was very helpful and polite and they did radio someone to help me who arrived within a few minutes. He was helpful as well. Unfortunately they didn't have one of those three items in stock that they said they did but I know that can happen sometimes. Also I find their prices to be more expensive than the average place. And weirdly, many items, batting helmets for example, have no labeled price. Not good shopping if you don't kniw prices. Disappointing customer service, inept managers, store manager missing in action did not return calls, the white male security personnel followed me around like if i was on a domestic terrorist list, I even witnessed one of the Managers yelling at a customer while our long line watched, I think we all agreed that a paying customer should not be treated in this way; but lastly, the worse manager there a rude and difficult to deal with person named keryme I believe is the worse offender, not a nice person really unhelpful only exacerbated the earlier situation with the one customer, I’m a regular there this is not the first time I’ve seen this servicewoman get snappy at...
