The apartment is new and nice, and I had a great tour with Madison—she’s genuinely kind and helpful. This was my first time applying for an apartment, so I was initially frustrated when my application was cancelled after 24 hours (even though I was given extra time), but I later learned that this is standard procedure. Unfortunately, my application was ultimately denied due to my credit score. I used to have excellent credit, but unexpected financial challenges during the pandemic impacted my score despite always paying rent on time and diligently resolving debts. Since I couldn’t secure a third-party or personal guarantor—given that most of my close friends and colleagues are out of state—I wasn’t able to qualify this time. We moved from Boston to Long Island. It’s an exhausting long drive with a huge Uhaul with another truck. Our leasing agent Roseanna waited us for an hour after the regular office hour to help us check in. Without her, we would be homeless. Thank you so much, Roseanna! She’s very responsive to all the emails and gave us detailed instructions to ensure a smooth move in. The welcome gift and other little stuff soon made this house become a relaxing and lovely home.

What can we say? Spectacular grounds, friendly people and amazing homes.

Last weekend, we had the privilege of touring the arboretum. Living in Queens, we are fed up of the crowds and bustle of the city. We ended up touring with Alyssa who was, let me tell you, knowledgeable, fun and just a good person. She was so patient and she showed us so many homes and then showed us them again until we chose our dream home. We finally decided on one of the homes and sadly our tour ended.
