Honestly the worst experience both myself or my boyfriend ever had. It had nothing to do with the movie itself or the staff at the theater. We had 3 kids sitting on one side constantly talking and laughing while there were 4 on the other that were making noises and neither group would settle down. Both myself and my boyfriend asked each group to be quiet and shushed them a few times. Neither of us want to see a movie in theaters again because both groups of kids were disrespectful. We wanted to be able to watch the movie but didnt want to have to leave and miss a part to alert the workers. In hindsight we should have because either way the movie was ruined for us. I felt so bad for those that had to clean up the seats as well since the kids left HUGE messes of popcorn and got it all over the seats and the floor. If there was a way to put a call button by the entrance so you dont have to fully leave the theater or send a message to the staff that would be so helpful so we dont have to miss the movie but can still report people who arent even watching it and causing a terrible experience for...
Read moreThe theater screens at all Marcus locations are consistently too dark, especially for 3D movies. Next time you are there pay attention to any actors facial features. In dark or night scenes you can barely make out their faces! I had this problem in both Appleton locations and both on the deluxe super screens and the smaller screens. I complained multiple times during Rogue One and the manager said "it's supposed to look like that." Forrest Whitaker's face was impossible to see. I ended up getting a refund after 45 minutes and left. Same issue with Infinity War, Solo, and most recently Captain Marvel- the entire final fight scene was nearly impossible to make out. This is an industry wide problem but I'm hoping more local people will realize this, complain, leave negative reviews, and hopefully inspire the theaters to TURN UP THE PROJECTION BRIGHTNESS. Also who designs reclining seats with the buttons INSIDE the chair? Oh and those Greg Marcus ads are crazy annoying, everyone knows he's a douche. Magical Movie Rewards is lit though and the Valley Grand Real Sizzle employees make a damn fine...
Read moreVery nice theatre! Comfortable reclining seats. Movie theatre popcorn value deals are super expensive! Candy is a lot of money as well... but that's the movies now a days. We spent well over $100 on popcorn and tickets for an early afternoon movie!!! With 3 kids and 2 adults. I love that they offer anime movie nights! My boys are really into anime, so that's a cool feature. The cleaning staff was nice, but the counter staff was rushing us. We have never been to this movie theatre before. When we saw our movie, they said seats were limited, and we had to sit in the very front row! We wanted to see the movie, so we accepted our fate! Which was not that pleasant, even with reclining seats. When the movie started, we noticed us and like 4 others were in the theatre with us! Why did they tell us it was all sold out then? Forcing us to pick up front. That was kinda of annoying. But that is my only complaint about this theatre. It's worth the drive from FDL for a more "luxury" experience. It was a nice outing...
