Ordered for carryout, did not take name, phone number, never gave me a total. When I arrived worker seemed confused. Asked me what the order was under, I repeated what I ordered. (My girlfriend is lactose intolerant and orders pizza without cheese all the time. Same with this time, one med for me and one med no cheese for her.)
Looking at the menu our order should have been around $36 dollars. As he proceeded to ring the order into the computer he explains to me that there is an upcharged for not having cheese one one of the pizzas. I say " that's a little weird, I've never heard of upcharging for less toppings, I guess it's understandable to keep it the same price but to charge more for excluding a topping doesn't make sense." As he continues to struggle putting the order in the computer he explains to me that "he doesn't make the rules"
He finished ringing the order in and gives me a total of close to 36 dollars. I hand him a 50 which would make my change around 14 dollars. He hands me 9 dollars and some change and says my order will be up shortly.
Now at this point I dont care, I'd just like to get home and eat dinner. But now that I'm home and thinking about it, 5 extra dollars is a bit insane for not putting cheese on a pizza.
If the owner of this place does read reviews or about their busines on here I'd honestly recommend looking into your employees overcharging orders and pocketing cash.
I Do find it a bit weird that it isn't stated over the phone, or on the menu that there will be an upcharge for removing toppings. And honestly the first time from ANY pizza place doing so. Also wasn't provided with any receipt to prove what I was or was not being...
Read moreWell, I ordered online and selected ASAP for the order. The prompt said to show up in 35 minutes, I headed to the store because it was going to take me 20 min to get there. I walk into the lobby, which is about 60 degrees in winter, and a nice lady asks what I'd like. I say, I'm here for an online order, give her my info and another lady making pizzas yells over the window:
"Why are you here at 3:45 when you placed an order for 4pm. I haven't even put the pizza in, sheesh...."
My response: I know I'm early, I ordered it for ASAP, I don't mind waiting. I'll just sit here for until it's done. No worries."
Why ridicule me for coming early, what does she care anyway? I wasn't upset it wasn't ready. I wasn't demanding it be done already. I didn't expect it to be. I knew I was early. I just provided the information the other CS rep asked me for. There was no need for her to be involved in the transaction. I don't know why the she felt the need to make me feel like an idiot for ordering a pizza. Next time, if there is one, I guess I'll just wait in my car.
While waiting, I observed this employee being loud, obnoxious, and injecting herself into every situation/conversation. She must have been the manager.
As far as the food goes, everything was made to order and came out on time. The food tasted as you would expect from Rocky's.
I should add that I was so surprised by this experience. In the past I've had nothing but good experiences here. I hope she adjusts her attitude for future customers or learns to listen instead of chiming in at every opportunity.
Edit: Rocky's reached out and offered me a complimentary order of breadsticks. I...
Read moreWorst restaurant experience ever. Ordered 3 meals. Two of the slices and all of the breadsticks were available. But my daughter wanted a cheese slice. Just a simple cheese slice. They had none. We were told it would be 15 to 20 minutes. So we took our drinks and sat at a table. A half hour later I went back up to the counter to inquire how long it would be. I was told that they never put in the pan of cheese slices. So now it would be another 10 minutes! Went to sit down again. 12 minutes later I was getting ready to go up again when the manager came out apologizing that we hadn't gotten our bread sticks yet. She didn't even have the correct information that it was just a simple cheese slice. At this point she said it would be another 5 minutes for the breadsticks. We had to ask her if she would bring out the slices. 5 minutes later she brought out the slices and said she would bring the breadsticks when they were ready. We were finishing our slices before the breadsticks came out. At this point we just got up and left. We will never be back and I certainly wouldn't recommend this Rocky's to anyone. Also the manager blamed all the problems on her staff. Nothing like throwing someone else...
