i visited this target today with my daughters (4&5yrs) to pick up some groceries. Upon entering my 4yr old throws her Easter pale on the floor that's filled with dandelions we had picked earlier that day, I quickly start to pick them up, put my children in the cart and set the pale underneath to avoid having it thrown again. We head for the grocery isles and wander through taking my time because it's my day off. I proceed to cash out in the self check out isle I'm having a little trouble the cashier Insists to keep pressing the button "using my own bags". I continue scanning items and it happens a few more times she urges me to press the button again sounding a little more irritated this time. I then notice she is staring at me disapprovingly and I become a little uncomfortable and confused trying to figure out if she is irritated with me because of the machine or my children or my tattoos. I start to pay part on a card the rest cash and there is a gentleman cashing out next to me and I realize his shirt says security he walks up to me and says "you didn't pay for that" and I'm confused/embarrassed and stammer "what" he points to the pale under the cart i explain its my daughters from outside of the store and he turns, relays the information to the cashier and she looks irritated that I wasn't stealing. by this point I'm fed up and ask "did you seriously just accuse me of stealing a bucket of dandelions that belongs to my four year old?" she doesn't apoligize instead she snaps back that it's protocol. I walk over to customer service an ask or a manager or comment card and the guy behind the desk mumbles somethings and says comment card so I say I'll take one and ask again about a manger and he says he is one, I explain the incident and it's starting to irritate me but I keep calm and he doesn't apoligize either just says he'll talk to her, instead I called corporate but I doubt they'll do anything . This was so disrespectful I've been in retail customer service and service industy for years there are so many other ways this lady could have handled the situation with out calling security and making a scene in a public place in front of my children. So much for transgender bathrooms when you have employees profiling young single tattooed white...
Read moreThere was a huge banner on the storefront wall of the Walden and Galleria Target I entered a few days ago that masks were required upon entering the store, but when I entered the store I noticed that many costumers and some employees weren't wearing them. When I asked someone at the customer service counter about it, he said that Target recommends that people wear masks in the store but it is not required. It was very strange, considering there was a giant banner hanging on the front of the store that stated otherwise and there was a state mandate in effect. I dropped the things I was about to purchase on the counter, I and instead went to a nearby Office Max to make my purchase. When I returned to my bicycle I had locked to a post below the large banner that was bigger than any other I've seen in the vicinity, a man who may have been in charge of security mentioned that I caused a scene by yelling and throwing items on the customer service desk and said what I brought up wasn't important and he did not care. Afterwards, I told the man I contacted customer relations (service) and pointed out the "elephant in the room"- the enormous banner above where my bike was locked and placard in front of the main entrance that stated masks were required and pedaled away.
I called Target reps to confirm if what the person working in the store said was true. I then found out that their policy was as stated in big, bold lettering outside the store; masks were, as in line with the New York state mandate, required. Frankly, I entered Target because I didn't want to go to an over-crowded Walmart down the street and the enormous sign gave me the impression that they were more concerned for the health and wellbeing of others than other businesses in the area, but apparently I was mislead. The moral of the story: like books and their covers, you can't judge a store by...
Read morePlaced order via Target app. After 4 1/2 hrs of order not being fulfilled, no answer at store despite multiple attempts to check on status. When I finally got a staff member on the phone, I was told that the store was busy and there was no estimated time for completion of my app order. I was advised to cancel the order and my husband could come to the store and shop the order himself. He was already in route to the store due to not receiving an answer when I called. Upon talking to the supervisor, I was told that my order was, in fact, fulfilled and waiting at the desk. Now that my order was cancelled (per advice of the otger employee, I was advised that my husband needed to return home to get my Red Card or he could pay with his debit card and Target was willing to give the Red Card discount. Upon my husbands arrival, multiple items from the order (that were in stock) had not been put in the order. He had to go through and find the missing items. Upon looking at the receipt, the Red Card discount was not applied as I was advised that it would be.
Update: Changed rating to 5 stars. Spoke to another manager, Matt, who was extremely apologetic regarding the errors and requested that I bring in my receipt so that he could make it right. Upon returning to the store, he and the previous manager, worked together and gave A+ customer service. I truly...
