We wanted to hire a reputable company w/good communication, high level of customer service & worry-free execution. For a 8x20 porch, stairs, railings & posts we paid $22k. Price seemed high but we were assured the highest quality materials & service so we moved forward. Our biggest concern was that our garden wouldn’t be affected. We told Anthony (salesman)we’d wait until the fall if they couldn’t safely work around the flowers w/o damaging them. My wife is disabled so gardening is very difficult & causes a lot of pain which is worth it to her for gorgeous blooms all summer. Anthony used to do installs, & assured us that working around the garden would be no problem b/c the majority of the work would be from the house & on the porch. We didn't replace the skirting which would’ve required more work near the plants. Vicky came out to measure before install. We spoke about the garden again & were told they might ruin some plants “it looked like they were only bulbs so that’s no big deal.” Now that the contract was signed we’re told the opposite of what we were assured, that some damage to the garden will be unavoidable. They didn’t notify us when they came to “prep” & told us our concrete steps wouldn’t be removed due to concerns about damaging the foundation & they jackhammered them w/o asking. When asked why they were removed, we were told “the field team has to make some calls on the fly” & we’re lucky b/c they normally charge extra for that & they’d waive the charge. We spoke to the crew & reminded them to avoid stepping on any plants & were told no problem. After the crew left we saw serious damage to several plants. We were also left with materials on the lawn & no porch until work resumed the next Tues. We called to discuss the garden damage & were told it was minimal & it was the best they could do. On Tues, they finished the job, resulting in MORE damages. My wife took the time to cover up as many plants as she could to help as a visual aid so they’d watch their step & later discovered plants that had been carefully covered were trampled & covered back up. They also ripped out some annuals & threw them to the side to die. While the finished product itself is good quality, the communication, professionalism & customer care were seriously lacking. There were scuff marks & mud all over the new railings. The next day we spoke to Angelo who showed up at our house unannounced & lied about speaking to us about coming out in person (when called out, he then said he actually only left a voicemail & sent it to the wrong number) Instead of apologizing & hearing our concerns he reiterated that the job they did was “so beautiful”. He said they they would pressure wash the mess. This wasn’t offered until we complained. He boasted that they have such a big company & even have dedicated customer service to “listen” to their customers. He said that b/c they’re so big they have different crews for each part of the process & it’s difficult to make sure everyone is given the same message, even though we spoke to every single crew individually. This isn’t my problem or a justifiable excuse as to why our request was promised but then not delivered. After multiple conversations (arguments) I was ready to give up, & told them that more than anything I just wanted them to admit they made a mistake in damaging our garden and committing to a request they couldn’t fulfill & were sorry about it. They finally apologized & offered to give us a $100 gift card to help make up for some of the damage. While we appreciate the gesture, for such an expensive job & simple request, there is no way to make us feel better about the damage done. For these reasons we will not be going back to The Vinyl Outlet, and will recommend to others that they look elsewhere.

Read moreMy husband and I have spent upwards of $50k for a large deck, small deck, privacy fencing, a gate. This companies response time for one is horrible. You have to chase them down every time. Each time they come they never complete the job. This last job was the smallest one and the worst of them all. The installer broke our existing fence, put a different color hardware on a new gate we had installed (which was not installed properly) and after 3 separate visits has yet to install our solar lights on the posts of the stairs. The gate does not close and is too close to the ground. After 2 seasons the deck materials are de-laminating which we were told they were solid material no lamination which is not true. Now they will need to replace some of the porch decking. The large gate from our privacy fence does not close properly, and another small gate on our porch is sagging and does not close. These are things we have now brought up several times and still after several visits have not been fixed. It has now been 2 months since the start of this last job and we have had to constantly chase them down and this last Friday we were once told again someone would call us back on Monday and it is now 11:15pm and no one called so now back to chasing them down again. They are over priced, they do not care about their customers, especially high paying customers that already paid and they already have your money so they do not care. We have since heard several people complain about this company when we have shared our experience. They talk you into giving a good review on google and they will give you a discount so you will see all these great reviews but in all actuality many are not satisfied. You would think after spending $50k you would be treated better and they would hold up their end of the bargain. I do not recommend them to anyone and will never use hire them again when we have more work done on our 3 acres. 9/14/22 update, months later job finally done after having to follow up several times, they continued to not follow up when they said they would. They were more concerned about their review than making us happy in fact they tried to buy a review, told us they would take $500 off if I changed my review. No thank you, you can have your $500, we will never use you again and know many people and have made sure they know what a terrible...
Read moreDo not waste your time. I tried giving this company 2 chances. Both horrible experiences. Had the first sales rep Jim (many other bad reviews on here about him) come in to my house and tell me that the estimate he is giving me is for one day only. Told me if I did not take his deal that day, my estimate would go up $1000 more. I then requested later to have a new sale rep come. The second sales rep Anthony seemed promising until he blew me off two times, all we had to do was sign a contract. The first time he couldn't make it due to being scheduled in Lewistown which I was very understanding. The second time he told me at 6:30 he was hopping in his car and on his way. I had to re-provide him my address. By 8pm I still did not see him and asked where he was. He then responded that he was heading home cause he was tired and that he mixed up my phone number. With confusion, I gave him a call for him to further explain as I just waited an hour and a half as he said he was on his way. He apologized and told me that he just did the same thing to another person but it was her 3rd time being blown off. And then proceeded to tell me that he focuses on his leads more than his sales. Keep in mind he was great for the lead, but as soon as you agree to do business with them, you are no longer their main priority and will be pushed aside. Then the 3rd time him coming he was an hour late. On the phone he told me he would provide a discount, when he came, he told me he was not going to be able to do that. With being unhappy by telling me his leads are more important, I addressed that on this visit and he told me this is the company policy. This company does not value your time or your business. Take this as your sign to run. Don't even bother having a...
