My experience at this Ulta was below subpar to say the least. I had high hopes as I’ve never been to an Ulta before and heard good things about the franchise and brand it’s self. I walked in and was greeted with “grab a basket and follow the signs on the floor”, when I walked up to the girl who greeted me and asked about the Ordinary high adherence primer I was looking for she simply said they don’t have it but might have a serum in the same brand. I asked if she knew of any similar products she said “I’ve never even heard of it” I asked if they sell clinique she pointed to the rack and that was it. I then walked around the store(obviously never being there before) clearly not knowing what I was doing or where to look, the staff just stood around and didn’t offer any help or assistance instead continued talking/ loudly bad mouthing their manager and other gossip having nothing to do with their job. This right off the bat makes me not want to shop in an establishment that sounds as if they treat their employees badly or as they were saying “just walks out on them”. When I was ready to cash out the pregnant girl at the counter didn’t even say “hi” or “did you find everything you needed” bc if asked I would have had asked for help, but nope the first thing she said was “what’s your phone number?” I said I’m not signed up with anything this is my first time here “she said yeah that doesn’t matter what’s your phone number?” I gave her my number not wanting to sign up but I just wanted to get out of there. In addition, none of the girls were wearing makeup, which is not a huge deal and may not be a requirement of the employees but I do think it’s important for customers to see that the employees know about makeup and also to promote the makeup lines they have in the store. Needless to say customer service in a makeup store like Ulta is the most important factor, many people like me have little experience with makeup and employees taking that step to help can go a long way. So if you are looking for quality service do not go to this store it will be worth the drive to a...
Read moreI came in and had one of the worst customer service experiences ive ever had shopping at Ulta. I was trying to do a return due to a faulty wire with a product i spend almost 200 dollars on and after speaking to customer service, they informed me that all i needed to do was bring in the receipt just to show proof of purchase and thats exactly what i did. I was met by a super rude blonde lady named Kristen who talked to me in one of the rudest tones and informed me that even though i had the receipt they couldn't return it because it was purchased last year. Mind you all i wanted was store credit or an exchange. I wasn't looking for money back. i was very confused and wanted more of an explanation but i was so caught off guard by how she spoke to me and she's supposedly the "manager" that i just ended up walking away from the situation. Then come to find out she was talking about me and what happened to other customers that overheard the conversation in a negative way after i had already left the store. As someone that works in customer service, that is so disgusting and unprofessional and i'm honestly embarrassed for her if thats how she carries herself while she's clocked in. I bought an expensive product that has faulty wiring and that somehow is my fault and i deserve to get talked about to other customers even though i was following the instructions of what customer service told me to do. Truly a disgusting person and a disgusting interaction. I would never handle a customer interaction like that especially if the mistake was on our companies fault. The fact that they were willing to give me a store credit of 12 dollars for the product without the receipt but they refused the return it for its original value once i had the receipt shows you how scummy those "managers" are. To be acting like that in your place of work at your big age is not only embarrassing for you but also for your poor employees that have to see you act like that. Do better and i hope you learn to treat people that way you would want...
Read moreI walked in to the store looking for a particular perfume. There were 3 girls at checkout (no customers in the store) talking to each other. Also 2 young men out in the store and talking to one another. I stood by the young men waiting to ask if they had the perfume I was looking for and they continued their conversation with no acknowledgement at all to me. I then walked up to the front of the store again where the 3 girl clerks were talking and stood there also with no acknowledgement again. I finally looked around until I found the perfume section and the one I was looking for was empty. I went up to the front again and finally one of the girls stopped talking long enough to ask me if I needed something. I told her what I was looking for and she went to the counter I had just looked at and said no we are out of it unless you find it somewhere in a gift set... There's some here and over there and in the front of the store too. If not we have an order coming in tomorrow it may get be in that. We never know what we are getting. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are customer service clerks... Not Goddesses but that's their attitude. I read the reviews before I came here and they were definitely right. A good customer service person would have asked me for my name and number and called me when the product came in. I'll order online. You need to address this issue. You're losing a lot...
