Read online that an appointment was not necessary. When we arrived, we were not greeted, so we just began browsing through dresses. The selection was very limited. After holding one or two dresses (just ones I wanted to ask my daughter about before taking them to a fitting room), a saleswoman came up and snatched them from us and scolded us for not having a room yet? The entire process was -extremely- rushed. We were not given room to browse whatsoever. When my daughter found a dress she sort of liked, the saleswoman was incredibly pushy and trying to coerce my daughter to order this dress immediately and pay in full upfront. First of all, we were truly just browsing, secondly, the topic of whether or not something is being purchased is a question to be directed to the person who is paying which generally is not a child. She was very unhappy with her experience here and needless to say, we will likely go back to our favorite dress shop across town for their customer service. The owner also tried to guilt me into ordering this dress that my daughter was not even that crazy about. If the saleswoman had given us space to have the conversation privately I would’ve explained that but she kept insisting my daughter order this dress, which by the way was $600 —before alterations!! Thanks,...
Read moreWe've been prom dress shopping at stores that had 100s of dresses in a small, cramped storefront with 3 fitting rooms, and stores with a wide selection of dresses but in limited sizes, and stores that require appointments made weeks in advance! We've been from Buffalo to Rochester and now to Syracuse in pursuit of "the" dress. We thought we found it but it wasn't in the right size, and couldnt be ordered in the right size so the hunt was on which led us here. They had the dress, in a size too big, but that was ok because we could size it down. The very helpful staff pinned the dress and all of a sudden she realized it wasn't "the one"! But no worries because there were so many other dresses in her size that she was able to try on that she found "the" dress in no time! So many name brand designer dresses, so many dressing rooms, no appointments necessary, and the storefront was clean and new! This is the way prom dress...
Read moreThis was the worst experience ever!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted so loudly and questioned when I said I just wanted to look around and see what type of dresses they had. The woman loudly chuckled and said why would you just look rather then try them on? I had never been in there before. Then my daughter who is a size 12/13 in dresses was put in the back corner to look at XL sized dresses. The woman never asked our size and when I asked to look at smaller sizes I was told my daughter wouldn't fit in the dresses on the opposite side of the room. How DARE they assume the size of my daughter. Half of the dresses were $600 and had fuzzies from being worn. How someone has the audacity to question a high school aged girls size with this world today is beyond me. I will never go in there again. They were RUDE!! Nor will I recommend this place to...
