Glenn Crossing — Local services in Town of Clay

This is a rating for the American Red Cross, because that's where I went at this mall. This is a nice, big facility, open and airy, but they also have private rooms. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and supportive. This was my first time giving blood in more than 30 years because they finally lifted the restriction on purple who were in Europe in the 80s. There is a special promotion this month - you get a Snoopy shirt when you donate!! It's pretty cool - I included a picture for your viewing pleasure. They had some high quality recovery snacks - oreo minis, biscuits, and others (sorry, I saw the oreos and was laser focused). There were also juices. Seeing the appointment online was easy. Glenn Crossing is listed as a shopping mall, but is actually a strip mall. There are several business here: Aldi, IL Limone- a wonderful Italian restaurant/pizzeria, Dollar Tree, Bul Bul Indian restaurant- which is listed as temporarily closed, Thrifty Shopper, Pascale Liquors, a carpet store (Joy perhaps?), maybe 1 or 2.other businesses and 1 or.2 vacancies. Went to IL Limone. Not impressed at all. Service was slow. Had to get my own spoon for coffee. We were served dipping oil and bread came 7 minutes later. That was bizarre. First dish brought to me wasn't what was ordered. 2nd was correct, but had a ton of really chewy calamari that was inedible. Atmosphere is very casual. I had been really wanting to try this place, and it didn't live up to expectations...
