Stopped in on a Friday night and as expected the place was busy yet the young man that greeted us couldn’t have been more welcoming and willing to accommodate seating for a party of three with one being wheelchair bound. Initially the service was a bit spotty but understandably so as they had just opened a couple weeks prior and training some new help. We almost left to return on a slower night but were met by a gentleman who as it turned out was the owner. He apologized for the slow service and convinced us to stay. Boy were we glad that we did!!! My dining companions and I each entirely enjoyed our meals. Calamari fra diavolo that took me back to the days of my grandmother’s cooking, eggplant rolitini that was specially requested as a dinner portion rather than appetizer as featured and linguine with clam sauce with whole (still in shell) clams. A basket of house made mini Italian bread rolls were also served and absolutely wonderful. Lucky for me that my dining companions where watching their carbs and each only had one roll. After our meal we were sent a plate of mini cannolis which were the perfect way to finish a fabulous meal. They tasted as if a little espresso was added to the filling. Delightful!!! Keep in mind this is real deal Italian homemade cooking. For anyone thinking Olive Garden is Italian cooking (no disrespect to OG) this is not a place for you. Before leaving we began talking with the owner who is originally from Calabria and operated a number of restaurants in New York City for many years. He has decided to move to central New York to be close to his family and grandchildren. It’s all about family!! On that note, you have to visit this place and taste what Italian homemade us supposed to taste like and expect to be treated...

I found out about this place from a news article and it was very hyped up as an authentic Italian pizzeria and they specifically mentioned how good the meatballs were in the article. I am tempted to rate this pizza shop lower because of how far it was off from the hype. I am a pizza freak and I am unbiased in my pizza reviews, I own a pizza shop as well.

We called and ordered a large pizza for $18 and an order of 2 meatballs which was $12.50 which was a shock, very expensive for meatballs. The meatballs were good meatballs but I wouldn’t order them again and Antonio’s Pizza right down the road in Bayberry plaza has much better ones, I think about Antonio’s balls a few times a week. These meatballs from Il Lamone were very dense, they use a lot of breadcrumb and a very finely ground beef. The sauce seems to be made in house and is phenomenal and the meatballs came with a little bit of ricotta on the side.

The pizza was very thin and hand stretched. It was a good crust but our pizza was under cooked, the crust was gray, and the cheese wasn’t melted very much. They use the same sauce on the pizza as they use in their pasta and on their meatballs. Like I said, it is a really good sauce but it seems out of place on the pizza. The sauce is more tangy and it’s powerful, it seemed to overpower the rest of the ingredients.

Overall I would be happy if this was the only place to get pizza, they do a good job but the pizza being under cooked and the meatballs costing so much for so little was a turn off. Antonio’s pizza in bayberry plaza does a very good job, they seem to be inconsistent with their dough and the thickness so both places have...

Il Limone Restaurant Pizzeria is an absolute delight for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. The cozy, casual ambiance makes you feel right at home, and the vibrant yellow decor adds a cheerful touch to the dining experience. It’s a perfect spot for a family gathering, a romantic dinner, or a relaxed evening with friends.

The food is simply outstanding! I tried their signature pizza, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The crust was perfectly crispy yet soft on the inside, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I also ordered the Lemon Risotto with Grilled Chicken, and it was heavenly—creamy, zesty, and cooked to perfection. The menu offers a fantastic variety of classic Italian dishes, each made with high-quality ingredients and authentic flavors.

The service was impeccable. Our server was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had a wonderful dining experience. The food arrived promptly, and the staff’s warm hospitality made the evening truly enjoyable.

I spent around $20–30 per person, which was well worth it considering the exceptional quality and generous portions. The restaurant also has a lovely area for private events, making it a great choice for celebrations or gatherings.

Overall, Il Limone Restaurant Pizzeria is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious, authentic Italian food in a cozy, welcoming setting. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their amazing menu. Highly...

We went here for date night. The restaurant came highly recommended by a local eats group on Facebook and we were kind of surprised to find it inside a plaza in Liverpool. That being said, the restaurant was warm and inviting, love the decor inside. We were seated right away but we went at 5pm, when we left around 6ish there was quite the wait as the restaurant is fairly small inside. We tried the fried ravioli and the rolled eggplant appetizer. The ravioli was delicious but the eggplant rollatini was cold. Almost as if they make it ahead of time and didn’t fry it long enough for the middle of each roll to warm through. For entrees we had the chicken Marsala and the chicken franchise which were both the best we’d had ever. One thing I was disappointed with was their bread that comes with the meal. Homemade breadsticks which is great but they lacked any flavor whats so ever and the dipping oil they give you is just EVOO with some chunks of garlic at the way bottom. When you dip your bread in it all you get is oil, there’s no flavor infused in it at all. The prices were very reasonable, I paid cash to avoid the service fee for using a card. Pretty much every restaurant is doing that these days. Overall a good experience!

We had take out. The food was ready and hot when we picked up at appointed time. The menu had some options for me the vegetarian and plenty of options for my husband the carnivore. We had the fried Mozzarella bites which were absolutely delicious.($8.95) The texture and flavour were phenomenal. I had the penne with vodka sauce,($14.95) the penne was cooked to perfection. The sauce was creamy and clung well to the pasta , it was good but to be great it needed to have a smidgen more garlic and perhaps a pinch of white or black pepper added to the batch. Texture 5 out of 5 flavour 3.9 out of 5 . It was a good portion and I enjoyed it . My husband had the lasagna with a side of 2 meatballs.($14.95 and $10.00) He totally enjoyed his lasagna flavour and portion size good. The meat balls were huge and he enjoyed the flavour on those also. He said they were worth the price. We were left pleasantly full after dinner. I would give the restaurant 5 stars based on this meal had my sauce had a bit more flavour and if bread or rolls come with the pasta dishes. We will go back to try other items.
