I really enjoy Thai food and have noted previously that Syracuse is very fortunate to have three excellent Thai restaurants in the Lemongrass, Thai Love NY, and AppeThaizing. I was hoping when we visited Bangkok in Liverpool for the first time that it might offer us a fourth choice. However, although it has the advantage of also offering Japanese cuisine, in my opinion it falls short of the other three restaurants. I ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer followed by tom yum soup with shrimp. The shrimp in both dishes were cooked perfectly but I found the coating on the tempura less crispy than I would have preferred. The soup was very good and had a nice variety of vegetables in addition to the shrimp. My wife ordered drunken noodles with tofu. She thought the tofu and noodles were nicely cooked, and the quantity of scrambled egg was appreciated. I also enjoyed a few bites of the dish but was a bit disappointed by the sauce. For dessert, we shared an attractive presentation of fried bananas with ice cream lightly drizzled with berry and chocolate sauces. The wrapper for the bananas had good flavor but was not the crispy direct coating we expected. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, but the high quality of nearby competition will probably keep us from returning soon.

An update after a year, and Bangkok Thai still has our taste buds and tummies! Continuing to love all the dishes and all the flavors. I actually tried a glass noodle dish tonight and really enjoyed it! We have find it to be a place you can't go wrong with! So should you eat here, yes. Will you? Now that rests solely on your shoulders... Enjoy!! Bangkok Thai Restaurant has some of my favorite flavors in town. It has all the classics that you love and so much more. Most recently I ordered the Praram long song and mmm, mmm, mmm bop!! Was it delicious!! I loved the way the veggies soaked up the peanut sauce so every bite was a peanut buttery explosion in my mouth. You get a side of white rice and because I'm a glutton for peanut punishment, I mixed that in with the sauce and soaked it all in. I think you get the picture... We love the food here and tonight we ordered delivery but it's a lovely place to go and sit down and enjoy your meal. This is a highly recommend from me and strong encouragement to venture away from the pad Thai once in a while 😜. Enjoy!!

This place is fantastic! It rivals any other Thai restaurant I have tried in the area and beyond. I had the basil pork spiced medium and it was delicious and amazing. The Tom yum soup with shrimp may be the best I have ever had. My daughter had the chicken wings and I have never tasted anything like that. My husband had masamam duck and the seasoning was unbelievable! The service was perfect and the waiter (owner?) super friendly. I love that they have discounts for seniors or vets. I will be going back soon. Someone said it’s under new ownership but whatever is going on they are doing things right. I did not hate it before but now it’s like an expensive Thai restaurant but with reasonable prices. And I love that their schedule is accommodating. They don’t close between lunch and dinner service. And look at the presentation of my dish! Wow! Go!

The new owners have really ruined the food. Awful service. Waited 15 minutes to be sat, 10 minutes for drinks while the waitress sat by the back doing nothing after seating us. Took another 5 minutes to get drinks. The quality of food was awful. The fried tofu was old. (I mean how Do you screw up tofu?) The entrees were covered in grease. The noodles were over cooked. The squid was frozen and spongey (awful texture once bitten into) and there is absolutely zero flavor in the food. No passion behind the cooking whatsoever. After we offered to pay for appetizers we ordered and sent our food back the waitress tried to make us pay for the food we couldn’t even eat. She told us because they cooked it we had to pay for it. (We did not pay for the trash they served us) The waitress, who was rude, did not once refill our drinks or check on us, ignored 3 sets of customers for 10+ Minutes. We visit Bangkok every year we come to town and our pictures were one of the ones up on the wall. We were so disappointed we took them with us Because we refuse to allow a restaurant that subpar to...

Wow I am so impressed with this place!!! While living in North Carolina we had the best Thai food available to us and once we came back here any pad Thai (I consider a staple and exceptional dish on any Thai menu) to be absolutely terrible and unauthentic. This place has incredible pad Thai and red curry one of my favorites!! I love that they have vegan/vegetarian options for me and everything else for my husband. We ordered takeout and upon my husband entering wearing a grunt style t-shirt they pointed out to him!!!!That he must have been in the military and gave him a 10% military discount too! We would have never even brought up the subject and what a beautiful thing to be given when you’re not even asking. All of our food was wrapped and sealed in plastic wrap so none of the curry sauce spilled out (which is something that happens to us more often then I would like to admit lol and ends up all over my truck floor!!!) I would take any bad reviews with a grain of salt because even with take out from start to finish all of it was absolutely...
