I don't even give them 1 star - we purchased 6 new appliances which was a great experience as we were recommended by a friend of the owner. The Appliance Man is a total joke - it's now been 3 months and I'm still with no microwave. The Head Tech broke my microwave so that it now doesn't work at all while replacing a fuse and promised to put me first because it was his mistake. 4 repair techs later, multiple phone calls, messages and even talking with the owner has got me nowhere. Today I call because it's now been 9 days since the 4th repairman was here and was told the part just came in this afternoon and they can put me on the schedule for December 3rd (12 days from now)! Now that's what I call excellent customer service and putting the customer first. This is totally ridiculous! Next week is Thanksgiving and i guarantee if they come out on December 3rd because they can't guarantee times the 5 th repairman won't be able to fix it and then it will be Christmas. They don't care! They could care less! I've even had the wonderful phone staff (what a joke) call me to let me know what the cost of the parts are that they broke!
So here's an update - as of Dec 12th I still have no return phone call from Coccas, the owner, or the Appliance Man, or even the head Tech Tom (I've left messages with all). I think it's sad that the owners reply with "we can't find you in our system please call". Do you really have this many customers with the same issue??? Prior to my post I was able to get through and leave messages which were not returned. Since my post I cannot get through to the appliance Man leaving me to believe they now have my number blocked because they didn't like my truthful post. I have left messages with the owner Frank Cocca which have not been returned before and after my post which still have not been returned. This was not a $49 microwave that we purchased and we did not break it - Coccas inside Appliance Man Techs broke the microwave. We were scheduled for Dec 3rd which was a NO show and have yet to receive one call saying sorry we couldn't make it, we're going to reschedule you, or take a hike we didn't like your honest review about us! The initial salesman insisted on selling me items I didn't want because they were of a larger size for a lower price. I specifically needed apartment-sized appliances because the access routes are very narrow. It took a second salesman to take me seriously and sell me exactly what I wanted. Delivery was inconvenient - very wide appointment windows meant I spent three hours waiting around an empty building with a small child to entertain while I waited with no indication about when the crew would show up (they showed up during the last 20 minutes of the window). The delivery was just drop-off service. When I went to install the ranges myself, I found significant damage to the enameled top of one of the ranges under the foam wrapper. I called Cocca's to see what could be done - instead of a new range being offered, replacement parts (range top, burner guard, and backsplash) would be ordered. I was promised a follow up call "soon". Over a month goes by - no word. I call again, speak to someone different who promises to look into the spare parts order. Another week goes by with no phone call, so I call AGAIN and was referred instead to the service department - it turns out the parts were never ordered after the first call, so I'm still waiting for delivery for the factory. Parts arrive a few days later, and the store calls to schedule install. I can't install the parts myself without voiding the warranty - but again, I am offered a 3-4 hour install window during a weekday, no weekend appointments available, when I don't live near the job site and have to arrange this nonsense around my 2nd job and childcare. Yes you read that right, number 4! a lot of money for poor customer service and quality. I am a big supporter of small business and went out of my way to be understanding with covid, supply chain issues, and employee shortages. We spent over 6k to have matching appliances for our remodel. The refrigerator ice maker last 3 months and stops working. Although clearly there is a manufacturing issue by frigidaire we are treated like the issue is unheard of and have to fight for a solution! Frigidaire (if you can even talk to a person) points the finger at Cocca's and Cocca's points their finger at frigidaire. We have been told by Frank and Laurie from Cocca's it must be a site issue and twice had Adam the technician/trouble shooter confirm it is not my house, not my water supply or my well. Frank the owner has offered no apology or compensation for my inconvenience/missed time from work. He is condescending and rude. No one from Cocca's or frigidaire follow up to communicate status despite many phone calls. Frank pretends he has no idea who we are every time we call than pawns us off to Laurie who offers excuse after excuse after excuse. This last time we told them we did not want the same refrigerator and were promised a different refrigerator. Today after months of excuses they delivered the same refrigerator. The only positive thing I can say 3 out the 4 times the delivery person Brian has been top notch, efficient and professional.
