Just moved here a few weeks ago. Been to this Marshall's a few times since I've been here. The first couple of trips there were nice. Found some nice stuff and cashiers were really friendly. When I went in today I found a nice shirt on clearance with a red sticker on the tag. Was only ten dollars and realized why it was marked down. It had a a slight tear in the back of the shirt, but it was still barely noticeable. So I decided to get it. When I brought up the the register the lady that rang me up takes the shirt to another counter in the back and is standing there with it and from where I was I could not see what she was doing. Two and a half minutes later she comes back and rings up the shirt and it rang up as 19.99. I look down at the price tag on the shirt which doesn't have the red sticker on it anymore that said ten dollars. So I said no that's wrong this had a clearance sticker on it when I sat it down on the counter. She had an annoyed look on her face and kind of acted like she didnt know what I was talking about or just confused. And she just went back to the counter in the back for another 2 minutes and showed back up with a brand new tag on the shirt that said 9.99. And after I payed for the shirt and other items I payed for rudely just says sorry. Like sorry for what? Taking off the clearance sticker and think I wouldnt notice. It literally had the sticker on it when I sat it on the counter. She walks away for 2 mins and comes back and it's...
Read moreThe worst shopping experience! I visited a Mohegan Lake, NY Marshalls store with my brother, aiming to purchase a men's winter coat.
Regrettably, our visit was marred by disorganization within the store. The racks were in disarray, making it challenging to browse through the coats.
My primary concern arose when I noticed that two security cables with steel locks were carelessly attached to one jacket. Despite my brother's polite request to try on the jacket, the store assistant failed to remove any of these security devices. Consequently, my brother ended up injuring his eye while attempting to put the jacket on due to the unremoved cables.
This was an entirely unexpected and unfortunate incident that resulted in harm. It was distressing to see a customer's safety overlooked due to the negligence of the staff.
It is imperative that the staff pay closer attention to the safety of customers. Immediate removal of security devices when requested by customers should be a priority. Additionally, organizing the store and keeping racks tidy would greatly enhance the shopping experience.
This experience was disappointing and concerning. While I hope for improved safety measures and a better-organized store in the future, I am hesitant to return or recommend this particular Marshalls location based on this...
Read moreMarshals is not a bad store, but, needs a lot of cleaning up to do. Its not easy to deal with people from all over the country and world,as they behaviour and hygiene habits, are appalling. so, the store becomes a 'Thrash can. The merchandise looks like its in a' shrift shop. Most of the stuff are markdowns, and if one does happen to buy it whatever condition it is,It is likely, to be returned, for whatever reason they are..The sales 'Rep' are aware of it's conditions when being wrung up,yet, when they are asked if this is returnable. The answer is yes.'You must have the receipt, Not that easy as it has been said. On returning the item. it then, becomes a messy job byh the sales rep,who then, rejects the item. This is very very bad and humiliating. It is not always the customer's fault, even though, they are some who are really really dishonest,...but not real people.And..these are the people who suffer the abuse. Very unfair. This goes for Homegoods, TJMaxx, which they are all connected. Not to mentioned.hum..TJMaxx'x Reps are despicable ,rude and obnoxious. I never shopped again,it has been 20 years.I do not miss it....
