Ok selection. You have to ask the correct people for help. Scott in plumbing is a Pro. Most others just drawing a paycheck. Main headquarter Customer Service is literally nonexistent. If you have a problem with any of the HD affiliates you will never get an honest investigation. Lip service is their idea of Customer Service. We had to go to the Better Bussiness Bureau to get a problem solved we had with an install of one of their products that turned out to be broke from the install and the wrong product we contracted to be installed. After 6 months of constantly trying to get their Store Manager and the Main Headquartered Customer Service to help us resolve the problem we were sent an Email stating that our claim was investigated and found to not be a valid complaint. No one called us or ever sent anyone by to actually take a look at the defective product but yet there was no validity to our complaint according to them. This company is not to be trusted even with minor matters. We bought several kinds of phillips head so called contractor construction screws. The cross in the head stripped out with all of them because they are made with extremely weak inferior metal. Bought a sump pump that didn't even turn on and run. When we took it back within one hour of purchasing the pump they tried to claim they did not take returns. So if you buy anything that breaks immediately or doesn't work from the start they won't replace or remove and make good the bad product. Basically a "Sucks to be you"attitude. What kind of bussiness acts this way. We give this company a...
Read morePlumbing department guys are top notch AMAZING! I'd give them 5 stars! They are so knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Garden people are usually helpful and friendly. Customer service desk workers are hit or miss. Some are downright rude and miserable human beings. They can be total annoyances and not give you your order you paid for online without your ID even though you literally have the email, credit card, and confirmation number signed in on your home depot account on your phone right in front of them. It's a rude power trip some like to play. The people doing the pickup area are hit or miss. Once a rude guy wheeled my order out on a big flat cart, checked my ID, and walked away for me to load my car and put the cart back so I left it taking up 2 pickup parking spots because it's not my job to do it's his. Lumber guys are good most of the time if you can actually find them. Paint people are usually okay. 99% of the time (I'm there A LOT doing DIY and gardening) it's self checkout no cash registers open. I've had good luck with buying dishwashers from them, toilets, tools, plumbing, mulch, and plants. Military...
Read moreCame to Home Depot in Jamestown today with the Express purpose of purchasing a grill. I found the one I wanted and asked for help at the service desk. They said they would find someone. 15 minutes later i went back to the service desk and asked again. They got someone after another 10 minutes. The grill i wanted was not in stock so i asked if i could purchase the floor model. He said he would check. 10 minutes later i was back at the service desk asking for someone to help me again. This time a lady came over and asked what i wanted to dom I explained to her what I wanted and she said she would find someone to help me with. Waited 20 minutes this time and walked out. Is was a $300 grill so they lost that and any other future business from me. So asinine that they cant help a person do the one thing that they are there for....
