To say this was a nightmare of an experience is an understatement. I chose to use this company because of the ratings and it was the worst decision. Paul, one of the employees (owner?) came to my townhome well in advance to get an inventory which included 2 refrigerators. I got a quote and purchased the full insurance and went with them. After the move we had some issues. Three young gentleman came to move my home. STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you take pictures of all your items and take pictures of the moving van once it is all packed up and even take videos as much as possible. Also take note and speak with the moving team about their lunch time as well. There was some discrepancy with the time but I chose not to argue with them over it. That should not count as part of the moving cost. I would recommend saying ok it’s * o’clock I will expect you to come back at **. You pay for travel Not lunch. after the move (and tipping each of them 50$ since I believe in tipping but now regret) the issues began. They stripped my dining room table screws, Paul said he would come to fix it and never did. They lost my power cord to my stationary bike- they never found it and of course implied that maybe it wasn’t with my bike…wrong it was. The grand finale was the refrigerator. After they moved both refrigerators I was finally able to take a look at them a couple weeks later. I removed the Saran Wrap (and asked if there was a time limit to the insurance since I knew I wasn’t going to be able to inspect everything right away with a newborn at home and working-they said no time limit) and noticed some dents and damage to one fridge door. When I told Paul he replied back that the movers didn’t remember moving 2 refrigerators and he doesn’t remember it either STRONGLY RECOMMEND taking a picture of what they inventoryI said I do have 2 refrigerators and one is damaged. I told Paul I thought maybe I got the damaged one from Costco but it turns out the other refrigerator was from Costco and the damaged one was a gift and I didn’t have the receipt. Which, Mind you, you do not need for the insurance claim although nice to have. After numerous e mails back and forth claiming that the fridge was purchased after the move he proceeded to tell me that the insurance company called Costco and confirmed that a fridge was purchased after the move. I told him that I purchased a freezer after the move from Costco and showed him in person and the receipt that i purchased a freezer. And also since when does an insurance company call Costco? And on top of them why the hell would I file a claim if I bought the fridge from Costco when they have the best return and exchange policy on the planet. If the fridge was damaged 10 years from now Costco would replace it I wouldn’t go through highland movers and get the door replaced. He then told me that the insurance company wants to do a conference call because they denied the claim since they believe the fridge was not moved by the movers. I told him sure no problem because the fridge was definitely moved by you guys. After multiple e-mails and avoiding my phone calls. I had to tell him I will be reporting him to BBB if I do not get the check for the fridge door. He sent me the check “from his own money” and that was that. BEWARE! They might be cheaper than other companies but this was a mess and such a horrible experience. Accusatory and aggressive, inconsistent with what he says. Tries to back track, which I am so glad most of it was e mail since I have proofSTRONGLY RECOMMEND communicating via e nail with him. Go with any other company or take pictures and videos...
Read moreI highly recommend Highline movers! The crew who moved me on August 26, 2024, Cesar, Joe, and Sam, were absolutely outstanding! They arrived on time and worked well beyond the expected end time. They had a very long day, as my house had more to move than I think any of us realized. They were friendly and easy to work with, and all three of them were so careful with my things. Nothing broke, not even my fragile items.
In addition, I had issues with closing on my new house (originally I was supposed to close prior to the day of the move) and couldn’t even tell them where to bring the loaded truck, as I was still unsure I would be closing that day, in which case they would have to bring everything to a storage unit. The guys gave me their cell phone numbers so I could contact them from the closing and tell them where to go, so as not to waste time.
Since I wasn’t there to tell them where things went as they unloaded, they were told by my realtor to put my basement items in the wrong spot. The amount of boxes down there was daunting. I was going to schedule a time for Highline to come back and move them, but Cesar, Joe, and Sam moved them all AGAIN for me, at the end of a ten hour day! I am beyond grateful to them and all the hard work they did for me.
Highline and this crew were the absolute best part of moving. It was worth every cent I paid them (and their prices were very reasonable compared to other movers in the area). I will recommend them without hesitation...
Read moreI have dealt with several moving companies over the years, locally and in different states. I can honestly say Highline moving company is in a league of their own. From my first phone call with Paul, I knew it was going to be smooth sailing. He was pleasant to speak with, didn’t rush me, explained the process how his company likes to send someone out to get a good look at all the items to give me the best price. I explained the situation so he agreed sending an email with detailed pictures would work. We went back and forth, he was very patient with me lol. Kory, and Reese, called me the morning of the scheduled move and said they were on their way. Once they arrived they didn’t stop!!! They were professional, friendly, hardworking, very careful with all the items, asked several times if there was anything I needed help with. I could hear them communicating with one another while moving heavier pieces of furniture to not only make sure they didn’t damage the furniture, but most importantly not to get injured. Everything was packed and off to the final destination. They unloaded and set everything up even better than expected. I honestly can’t say enough about Highline moving company. The price , the quality of work, the customer service , no hidden fees,...
