I'm always impressed when I go to this GameStop in White Plains. Usually one of the sales people greets me. I'm usually with my son and he is taking a liking too the staff. They always seem so welcoming and my son likes to ask them questions about games and of the accessories they sell.
I think the store manager, Paul, is doing a great job with the store in general. He hires the right people because it takes a certain personality to work there. The staff really knows their customers. Whether it's dealing with parents or children, they know how to adjust their approach. I have experienced the staff working with, for example 12-year-olds. In my case, I didn't really have a clue about what to buy my son, but Jess and Marco jump right in and schooled me in the right action, figures and games that my son would like. I definitely would've picked the wrong item without their help.
When I had something to return, Paul really went to distance to try to help get things done quickly into my benefit.

First the store is dirty and like others have stated is musty and felt like I was going into a teenage boys room with stuff thrown everywhere. I ordered online for pickup a XBOX Series X Digital console and I thought it would take 1-2 hours max to prepare the order considering I called ahead to make sure the store had the console and the manager confirmed they did. Well it took Ganestop over a day to confirm my order was ready. I go to the store to pickup my console and the guy says, sorry there is a dent in the box this is the last one, is it okay? I respond it was fine and think nothing of it until I get home when I go to remove my receipt off the box and notice they had given me an XBOX Series S. I call and the manager who says just come by again and as I walk in they already have the correct console waiting for me. Again the staff seemed cool and knowledgeable but I think this is a prime example why retail stores like this are just going to...

UPDATE: (7/29/18) Hilarious story here.... I tried to sell THIS gamestop an Xbox One Headset, employer says "Oh yeah we don't buy those and they don't sell well" Though, on their website it clearly states they do. I also asked nicely for 2 cardboard boxes Funko uses to ship the POPs in... response was "Oh no, we don't get those, they come in bubble wrap" Here's the HUGE turnaround: I went to a DIFFERENT Gamestop, where I was treated with nothing but RESPECT. I SOLD my Xbox One Headset AND I got the cardboard boxes, considering they DO have them and they were NICE enough to give me 5 of them.
